Terrier catching hare!!

Talking to my dad about his past terriers and he said he had two that caught a hare when he was younger. He said that was the only one they ever caught but just wondering if anyone else's terriers have in past?

Seen a hare caught by a lakeland in cover while out beating. He didnt put bend into it lol.

Had a spaniel years ago when i was a kid he cought a few hares in the bush also rabbits squirrels pheasents patridges and the odd woodcock

I had a terrier a few yr back that one, And it was his only one he if caught

 

 

He caught in a bit of cover, One morning courseing two lifted lurcher after one and him after the other, It hit cover without breaking stride and must have just sat there cause as soon as he hit the cover he had it in his mouth, No sport at all but ya he caught one

where i used to keep my horse as a kid had a lakie x russell cross called scooter that i used to go bushing with my terriers and he caught a half grown hare, i doubt it was all the well or fit but he definately caught it out in the open after a bit of a chase

closest mine have come to catching one was when the russel caught a leveret. she was unimpressed with me when i made her drop it and it ran off.

Was running dogs through winns,when one popped up,One of the fellas I was with took a pot shot,clipped it ,but ran on a few fields away,my Blaze ,Tracked up after it and lifted it again,then managed to peg it,Wounded ,but still caught,best thing about it ,Two witnesses,so no bullshit !
