A real tradegy, years ago i knew a lorry driver who had an accident after an elderly couple made a fatal error in judgement and pulled onto a main road, the lorry squashed the car and the driver couldnt help and had to listen the their screams and their pet dog howling as they burnt to death..............

.anyone else notice that there is normally a major death toll incident in the build up to xmas.always something happens around this time of the year.

my thoughts are with all the familys anyway.

I think theres a lot of truth in that......my theory is the sudden change in weather around this time of year, sudden different hours of light/dark that people have been used to driving in over the summer, are all a combination............couple all that with silly fireworks going off right left and centre that can catch the eye of motorists, which i believe might have been a factor in this crash.................

Very sad anyway for all involved.

not far from me,i hear a fireworks display is beings looked at that was close to were this happend, only what i have heard mind

yea it was a dispaly next to rugby club running adjucant to the motorway, although i eard on the news they are adamant it finished 10mins before the accident.whether thats true or not is another question,it could have been anything,drunkiness/tiredness/deer fox ran on road spooked by rockets.we may never know the cause.i tend to go with gnasher that makes sense to me.early nights creeping in,frost fog people rushing home.messes up your body clock that turning the clocks back.i know its only an hour but still.and they wanna make it 2hours to be like europe :censored:

Says 'in' the paper that it might have been caused by the rugby clubs bonfire smoke drifting across. Whatever, a terrible accident and r.i.p to the victims.

A mate of mine is a Fireman and I said the exact same thing to him. I'm not sure I could cope seeing some of the things they have to at times. I'd be haunted.

RIP to the victims that died, and I wish a speedy and full recovery to those that were injured.

Your bang on Gnasher, a change in weather conditions but unfortunately NO change in driving style!.......I would hate to think how many miles I have put in driving all over this country in the last 20 odd years, but its a lot and imho 75% of people on the road are driving well above their ability when the weather turns wintery or wet/damp........I think its shocking that the police are looking at a local rugby club with a view to a criminal investigation when the most likely fact is that most of the drivers involved were probably driving to fast and too close for the prevailing conditions.......but seeing as now days, hard truths are not that popular all that will get ignored.

How many times have we seen car upon car speeding past at a rate of knots when its pissing down and you can barely see out of the windscreen?........

Terrible for the familys of those that got killed and they have my sympathy.
