mackem 29,716
Every single one of them is exactly the same to be honest, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, not one of them would know what its like to grow up on a sink-estate,live hand to mouth, worry about bills and mortgage payments,we think we are free?We are like f*cking hamsters on a wheel running...running...running for the rewards,we work 9-5 to be able to afford to buy a box which we are taxed on,we die and get another box and once again tax,we make paltry sums of cash and think we are living the life because we can afford a couple of pairs of Hugo Boss a month,a meal down the indian or chinese restaurant once a week and a fortnight in the sun every year,we think thats being free?F*ck them all,as Max says,we are waking up but we really are a nation of whimps nowadays, why do you think there was fast-track knee-jerking sentences for the rioters, whenever theres social uprising of any form in this country the powers that be come down hard, one day....

I will mate I am and always have been a working man, love my country with a passion and hate to see where its heading. At least with Maggie at the helm we had the balls to give the rods to fanatics and the like...look at us now !!. I aint going to get in to the "working mans" debate as we will be here a long time. Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
This is the land of choice you can make good money from hardwork. This was given too you by the conservative government. Alot of the middleclass wealth is due to parents. Buying council homes at reduce prices. breaking the burden of tenancy . Rake aboot 4,936
Anyone who thinks the council house right to buy is a reason to justify, or support thatcher, or means you ca`nt hate her if you bought yours, is unbelievabley uninformed.. or stupid. She destroyed the working man , and stamped hard on any that threatened her cronies wealth. Pride ,,she gave us pride ????? she ripped the heart out of community, for greed,, I for one would run a coachload down to piss on her grave. Evil horrible bitch And I prefer the Tories to any other party,, History will show her as the bitch she was
Malt 379
Did off of you or your parents buy your council house There's none left for anybody else now.. It was all very well selling them off, but they made no provision to replace them and the price of them once bought went though the roof. People local to me bought them dirt cheap, then sold them straight away. Good for them, but not so good for those who came afterwards. Lack of affordable/social housing is a huge, huge problem brought about by poor implementation of the right to buy..

onion jonny 527
coal mines were shut because there were better safer and more profitable ways to extract coal, you that moan about them closing then you moan how unsafe they were, even in this time there are men losing their lives and the amount of men that have health problems because they worked down them so although men lost jobs a lot retrained or got work elsewhere where at least they were safe and healthy, i'm not patting thatcher on the back for doing it as i believe it would have been done eventually by whoever was in power. Bull shit. The mines were closed because it was cheaper to import coal from from abroad mined in exactly the same way without the required investment by the government....
