My bitch sliced under her hock while lamping last tue night took her to the vets because the hock was swollen an she was limping like hell.

Vet had a look, well call it a look she glanced at it pis*ed about on computer for a bit then gave me some anti biotics.

Now for the BEST PART the silly cow told me the wrong dose so i"ve been giving het 250mg a day when should of been 500mg.

She has told me to pop back in wed (when the course finishes) what would you lads do?

Anyone come up wi this prob before?

I was gonna demand the next set of treatment to be free of charge as she messed up on the first lot.

thats exactly what you should do mate you pay enough money at the vets so they should atleast give you the proper dosage

i couldnt belive what i was hearing we where there what 5 mins if that she didnt put the dog on a table or anything didnt even hold his leg she just bent over had a quick look the prescribed me some antibiotics which she got wrong.

Now shes saying when i go back she"ll gi me some stronger ones then she recons the infection could of spred to the bone.

Any one ever had a prob like this in a dogs hock, because i"ve lost all trust in the vets

if its the same reason for going back they should not charge you for the cosultation only the medication.

they are only after your money mate your dog will heal ok you should get some cut and heal or purple spray and sorted it out your self only ever use the vets if its really bad you can get all the same gear the vets use off the net atb troter

i took her because her hock had swollen twice as much as the other suppose wi just getting her and not knowing too many lads local to me i rushed to the vets.

That was wednesday theres not been a massive change to her leg shes still steady on it now, not limping but not walking 100%.

The vet told me to come back wednesday i will go back to tell them how much of a cock they made.

The leg is infected im sure, to start with i thought she might of dislocated it but i"m sure it is just infected

had the same problem a couple of weeks ago with pup, wash it out every day twice and give give him 250mg of amoxacillin every day its [bANNED TEXT] the dentist gives you usally for infections or abcess pup was right in a couple off days,
