fear of hieghts is caused by the movement of the earth if you get above the cloulds you dont get it wierd or whot

that can't be right surely, that would mean anyone could just out of a plane without fear?

diferent fear have you ever herd of anyone complain of fear of heights on a plane ? fearing of flying yes.

true, I must admit getting on a plane doesn't bother me....especially once I've mentally planned my actions if a terrorist starts walking up and down the isle, I'll be a f'ckin killin machine with that plastic knife and fork!

the other wierd thing about it is if you were walking along a normal path that had a four foot rail alongside it you'd know for a fact that even if you slipped and fell against that rail you wouldn't

if you fell only the last 1cm would hurt

Yeh its not really the fall that bothers me, more the concrete at the bottom

Its interesting other folk have the same things i do, that feeling that you want to jump, and the one about the rail, and how it wouldn't stop you falling..............although mackems desire to kill folk is disturbing :D

I can even relate to that. With me it's like a compulsion to do something that no one would be expecting, just to see the reactions. For example, if I'm sat in a meeting everyone else will be concentrating on what's being talked about....I'll be thinking I wonder what everyone would do if I punched the bloke next to me in the head as hard as I possibly could. Or when I'm at the inlaws and they've just made a really nice spread, I'm sat there wondering what they'd all do if I just stood up and flipped the table over with all the food on it, and someone having a baby is another one, as soon as they pass it to me I start wondering what they'd do if I just chucked it on the floor.....does anyone else get this or is it just me?

Ok, im not the only freak on THL, what about when your driving and think, what if i swerve into that wall, what will happen :whistling:

I fecking hate heights, when I was plastering we got a couple of gable ends to do and we had to get someone else to just carry the stuff up the second half of the scaff. I'm fine climbing up the outside of a scaffolding but feck walking on planks (trap ands or twisted planks) or getting on and off ladders :bad:

I work with trees now and we have to prune thousands of them off an extending platform and I can be fine for ages then all of a sudden I shit it for no reason and then i'm holding onto the rail and not reaching out but of course the fine gentlemen I work with don't take the piss or shake the platform on purpose or anything and fully understand my fear............ the complete bunch of tw@s :censored: .

yep! I get that at every bridge when I'm driving in the fast lane of the motorway. The other one I used to get daily was when riding a motorbike, I wonder what would happen if I stuck my foot in the spokes of the front wheel!

I was doing a bit of retrieving with a springer pup a few years ago and threw her rabbit skin dummy into the canopy of abig beech tree by accident.

I climbed up and managed to get it, but my bottle collapsed big time on the way down. I was up there for about half an hour before I had plucked up the balls to shimmy down.

The wee pup sat the re the whole time looking at me as if I was retarded.
