Wash & brush up (starling)

Just a couple of pics of the starling that visits here , he was preening his feathers to perfection , I am amazed at how stunning they are close up , glad there enjoying my overgrown honeysuckle , another reason to not trim it back yet :laugh:

I love them, i've heard they can start mimicking human speach if kept captive.

 

I was going to ask if it was starlings that will mimic other bird calls , I find them really interesting birds & its the first time I have had them in the garden so I am keen to try to keep the shrubs just cut back enough so they dont go elsewhere

Kay great pictures,what camera and lens are you using? atb

 

 

I use a canon 1000d & i took it using a canon 55/250 , it was out at 250 as i have to take them from in the kitchen else they fly off :laugh:
