Can it be done

Recommended Posts

Great read this one :)

My dad says early September hares on the lamp are a good confidence booster for pups.

The bright lights really throw the youngsters........

The old debate about running any quary daytime V night time..........all the big bags are night time. What does that say????? ......let's see what Dad says......

Classic

ive seen a wild red that would be about as big as they come taken with two dogs on the edge of the new forest, i have also taken 15 outta 15 hares on the plains and quiet a few 10 outta 10 with the s

i heard his dad can stop a hare in full flight, with a well aimed brogue

i was there i saw both the pups in question take 19 hares between them, they missed maybe 6 each, but if you dont think it can be done,i am sure the owner of the pups would show you,or maybe yous could

i would say that it could be done the most iv had on the lamp was 11 hares with 2 experianced dogs but that was a good few years ago when i was 17 me and my mate couldnt even carry them we had to leg them and put them on dog leads and drag them back home i dont know who was more tired us or the dogs.

I,v just been speaking to a fella on the phone , he tells me that ( pre ban ) he took 19 hares one night running two twelve month old dogs ( singly. ) Now leaving aside the rights and wrongs of lamping hares , my question is CAN IT BE DONE ?

yes id say it could be done if the dogs were fit weather conditions were right,

fair enough mate, just because I dont think it happened, or at least i dont think it happened in the way its been described (big fields etc) doesnt mean that the dogs in questions are not very good. Also nothing was mentioned that I saw as to whether they were walking or driving when they did this and that could make a big difference to the overall likelihood of it happening.
