stealthy1 3,964
I have a mate who has a Koi farm where quite a few Herons go to dine, and he has to net the ponds over, so the more than likely have some strong protection, or he would have asked me to whack them by now

SportingShooter 0
As said, can't shoot them without a permit from DEFRA etc I quite like to see them around, I know they can be a pain to fisheries. Cormorants, if only they were on the vermin list, would knock those ugly things off all day long!

Ratreeper 441
I don't know why you would kill them, they mostly just eat smaller fish/frogs etc. Coromorants can do a lot more damage to fisheries, but imo it should be factored in to your business plan you are going to lose a few fish and I bet more of the large valuable fish get injured/killed by anglers anyway. "Earth!" 503
I don't know why you would kill them, they mostly just eat smaller fish/frogs etc. Coromorants can do a lot more damage to fisheries, but imo it should be factored in to your business plan you are going to lose a few fish and I bet more of the large valuable fish get injured/killed by anglers anyway. pop down to your local trout fishery and tell the farmer or keeper they eat small fish/frogs etc.. DEFRA do give a ticket to cull if the damage is affecting a fishery and im sure it goes in the way of 1 heron and 2 or 3 cormorant and vice versa. Planning to apply for a ticket from them myself. Ashame we cant get tickets to kill other "THINGS" that kill game
