not having a dig mate, but that bitch looks like it is in poor condition, no muscle on the back legs, no shpe to it, coat looks a bit worse for wear.

i wouldnt buy one of them pups if i came and seen that dog, especially if you have only bought it for breeding by the sounds of it you have :whistling:

I don't know this lad but a friend of mine does ,and he has seen the pups ,and states they are getting the very best of everything.I believe the lad paid a good bit out for this bitch  ,if he wants to breed her ,I think he is entitled to,she is certainly bred well, just as long as he doesn't turn her into a puppy factory ,like owners of that grand old bitch Fettle did with her.Inan

like i said i have seen the bitch run week in week out since a pup so i no the bitch very well she has been like one of my own, to the bloke that is talking out his arse you obviously have never seen a dog after a big litter of pups she is in good condition for still feeding four week old pups she is on 29% food and mince to help her along also an iron tonic, and all this crap about puppy farming i have bred the bitch mainly for myself so i can carry on the line of an excellent dog, how else do you get a puppy someone has to have the care and time to do it properly, she is 5 years old if i didnt breed her now it would be unfair to wait for her to get older and not be fit enough to have a litter. if you havent got anything nice to say or comment go and be jealous on your own.

Help Required as to ancestry /history of my saluki /Greyhound.
I have just lost my dog of a lifetime to cancer, she was 11/12 yrs old.I am truly heartbroken.
I'm not a hunter, but have always loved sight hounds in particular salukis.
My dog Fern was a very distinguishable sighthound ,her colouring alone a mutated dilute. Was quite a show stopper. I'd have people literally stopping cars to ask what she was as she held herself well and looked awesome.
She was Steel and tan with a white butterfly on chest. White tips on feet.
      Fur like velvet and shone.
      A glamourous looking dog.
She passed through I believe 5 lurcher men before coming to me age around 4 yrs.
      I had her 8 yrs.
I have  sketchy details of her young life and know she was initially used as a racing dog and then a lampers dog. Until she hurt her spine and broke a toe.
Fern was born around 2009,lived in North East England (Northumberland).
I believe she had two litters of puppies (do you have one?)
Lived Winlaton, Mickley,Prudhoe , Ryton, Greenside, Horsley.
I believe her father (sire) may of being khan jihad.
I believe her mother (dam) was a steel greyhound and was a Irish coursing champion.
Does anyone know who that might be?
      Who bred Fern?
Does her heritage fit time scale wise?
I would dearly love to know as I said, totally in bits at her loss.
I just want to try and recreate her or seek out someone who might be able too from same lineage.
Whilst I'm not a hunter, I turned Fern from huntress to helper in that I used her skills and abilities to bring deer out to me to photograph, as I'm a professional photographer. We were quite a team.
I just loved everything about that girl.
      Thanks for any help received.

What in your opinions would be the best thing to breed a deerhound/greyhound to but still looking to keep size and speed just something nice to throw into the mix or even more greyhound what do you lot think?...
      Cheers

      Help

I’m looking for a pup to meet my needs.  I will be hunting rabbit, fox, and deer.  I will be hunting pastures and easements.  I need something with EXTREME speed for hunting cow-fields and horse-fields in Pennsylvania.  If the deer make it to the woods, they are gone. We don’t have miles of giant fields like the Staghound guys do out west for running coyote.

Does anyone produce Whippet x Staghound crosses?
Can anyone show any video of Dave Platts “English Deerhounds” actually working?
Would a purebred Greyhound be too fragile for field work?
