FFS do you own all Bumble bees or something...? The man doesn't want the bees in his garden for the possibility of his children getting stung..... :wallbash: He doesn't want to exterminate all living bees and was quite happy for them to be moved on. Some folk dont want rabbits in there garden cause they eat veg, some folk dont want cats in there garden cause they shit in there flower beds.........JB doesn't want bees in his garden so whats the big deal here, its his f*****g garden!!!......... :icon_eek:

Where did I suggest that I 'owned' all bumble bees?

He came on, asked for advice, and was given some.

Then he starts banging on about his kiddiewinkies as if they are under threat of death FFS...

I'll repeat; Bumble bees are harmless, and anyone who is lucky enough to have them in their garden should be pleased and proud.

We can't all go around killing everything just because we have an irrational fear. Live and let live.

Bumble bees are in serious decline; and without these fantastic polinators we would all be fecked.

If he kills them he should be ashamed.

Well sorry but i'm not going to discuss bee's all night so you dad on mate. Point i was making was its JBs garden and if he doesn't want them so be it.........just because you are a lover of bees doesnt mean everyone else has too.

Can you guarentee that his children wont be stung by maybe falling on a bee?....no you cant and in the unlikely case of being allergic to bees there could be, yes could be a potential disaster.....

lab my missus said your her hero........... :toast:

:icon_redface: .....i told her to stop calling me that........ :icon_redface:

Why do you need to stop your kids going into the garden all summer?   The only way a bumble will sting is if you provoke it. I've had them crawling all over my hands and never been stung.   Usin

So I've got to tell my 4 and 5 year old they can't go out the garden all summer.........kids panic when they see bee's,I'm ok with them they don't bother me but it's the kids that are my concern.

If it is bees (and not wasps) leave them alone.   You should be teaching your kids about wildlife, and having bees is a great way of doing that. They won't sting unless they are harmed.   Letting

What a complete dick.

There is more chance of a wasp flying in through an open window and stinging your kids. Are you going to keep them indoors with the windows shut just in case?

You were given a good piece of advice about not using expanding foam. You ignored that advice.

You were given a good piece of advice about not disturbing the nest. You ignored that advice.

You've now blocked the entrance to the nest using foam, when there are likely to be bees still out foraging. They will come home, find out that someone has mucked about with their nest, and be annoyed.

Why do people ask for advice just to ignore it?

Mate wind your feckin neck in will you...........if its a choice between a couple of feckin bee's or my kids getting hurt, guess what my kiddiewinkies will win every feckin time.

Hands up if you've been stung by a bumble bee or know of someone who has?

I could understand your concern for the safety of your kids if it was honey bees and I'm not knocking you for looking out for your kids but bumble bees?

hi mate dont worry about bumble bees they only sting if provoked me and the kids sat right next to the entrance to our nest and never got stung once kids love it watching them come and go . expanding foam will only force the bees to find another exit but aslong as it isnt inside and when they do imerge they might be out of your way no harm done

So...you don't want the kids to get stung but you've just managed to upset the whole f*****g nest by blocking that hole up you pillock! The bees wouldn't do you or the kids any harm in the neighbours roof all summer, educate the kids about them FFS! :wallbash:

They would probably have moved off anyway once they out grew that space they have occupied under the tiles.

the last idiot i saw do that to bumbles had about 30 very pissed off bumbles around his front door after he blocked a vent they were using as a nest! I turned up and unblocked the hole and they settled straight away.

Also had a call after a nobhead of a handy man did the same thing to a feral honeybee colony in a womans house.....end result over a thousand bees inside the house after they made their new way out!

If you really must kill them then go to the shop, get some ant powder and get up the ladder and unblock the hole when it's dark and puff the powder in there.

There really is NO NEED to kill bumbles in this situation.

I know of 2 people stung by bumbles, 1 at 50mph wearing an open motorbike helmet, and another bloke strimming over a nest in the ground. Neither the bees fault.

Bees will not sting unless VERY provoked as it kills them by ripping their arse out and they know that!!

Oh and by the way there are other bees and wasps out there which could still sting the kids so you best keep them inside all summer anyway.

IF i had bees, wasps or whatever near their play area and i didnt know anyone to move them(thankfully i do), they would get the petrol or deodorant and lighter treatment or the auto treatment :hunter: ..
