Remember in those days conscientious objecters got shot so he prob felt he had no choice. Unfortunately the peole issuing the orders rarely get punished. As for genocide SH is right in some respects that the west more or less done nowt while the Serbs & Croats were at it in the 's and there's mass genocides going on in Africa and nowts being done. scothunter 12,609 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Thing is if we look at it this way.all the top nazis who called the shots back then.either killed themselfs or were hanged at nuremberg.some rightly so others were just hanged as an act of retribution by the allies.ok the odd one slipped through the net but they hardly lived the life of reilly.Were talking foot soldiers and camp guards.now i know its a cliche when they say "we were only following orders"as much as some might think that is a cop out.it also happens to be true.could you imagine what would happen to these soldiers and guards if they refused to carry out these orders.They would be executed on the spot.not one russian was convicted of war crimes in ww11 and they killed more than germany ever did,not to mention thier soldiers killing and raping german woman and children and looting.some would argue they deserved what they got.i for one do not.like i said we should be concentrating on todays unstable world and sorting out a future for generations to come,not dredging up history.yes jews were killed and treated like shit.however was not just jews who suffered during those dark days,although listening to the jews you would think they were the only ones to suffer and lose family members.they were dark days and a horrible period in history,but we face similar problems now and we dont care or spend half the resources and time that some do digging up the past. also i would say the jews have a bloody cheek pushing for justice.they have broken more UN resolutions than any other country.more than iraq ever did,also treat thier neigbours in such a way that would put the SS to shame.They think they have carte blanche in the world cause they were mistreated in the war.pffft Edited May 12, 2011 by scothunter Quote Link to post Share on other sites
