Bloody nuisance

Recommended Posts

went out for a quiet walk in the woods today and we came across 5 hares in the path, they had nothing to worry about for as soon as the dogs started runing they just sliped into the trees and dissapeared, thankfully. We came to this clearing and never being there before we walked into the field,as we did the dogs took off.First I couldnt make out what they had seen but then I spoted it.Way up at the top of the field was a deer grazing.Well I thought nothing of it as it was so far away but bloody hell it took its time to piss off.The dogs were geting nearer and this deer still hadnt taken a step even thugh he could see the dogs coming.Maybe he knew exactly when to panic but I was bricking it in case they caught it.It was a very entertaining morning, the strange bit was though that we didnt leave home till 8.30 and it was after 9 when we started walking, thought the deer would have been back in the woods by then.First time also seeing deer in the place even though we walked a bit farther than usual this morning.

That really depends on the wifes humour Alan,if shes pacified then we may get something of substance,if shes in her foul shity humour we will get 2 fingers and ''make the firkin thing yourself'' carry on.....BUT WE WONT BE HAVING DEER JUST IN CASE YOUR THINKING ON THOSE LINES

Lurchers it was the last thing I expected, but fun all the same

Well 3 turns, there were 5 seperate hares siting out on the woodland path as we walked up there and no bunnies around this spot.I only ever use this area in the summer for the dogs as its so remote and tranquil, you never get to see anything up there....ever.This was a first for me.Rabbitman, beast nor man troubles this place, its an hour up the path to get where I saw them and it was first time for me coming across them,no houses or farms for long ways.Im not going to go there again just in case they meet again.Even if they did pull it down Id never get it back to the wheels anyway.I reckon itd be a long time again before I see them like that cause ive ben up there dozens of times and never saw a bit.

Its not illegal for your dogs to chase deer,is it.Illegal to catch deer with dogs ,yes but hell what am I to do,they turn up in front of me and were at the races. They wouldnt have touched them anyway :whistling: Fieldsman around here theres lots of hares in the woods, more so than in the fields. They are out grazing in the night and feck off back into the woods by day.By my initial post i thought it was fairly obvious catching the deer was the last thing I wanted anyway.Im an animal lover as Its plain to see :D
