The futures Bright ............... The future is Ginger!

Recommended Posts

I've had this boy for nearly 6 months now, a rescue after a tough start. I can honestly say i couldn't be happier with him, the creases that needed ironing out, were flat in a month and he's generally now just an excellent dog to have around. He's fitted into my little pack well, and is quickly learning what game is all about, actively starting to bush with the terrier and becoming more aware of the countryside inhabitants by the day. He's taken to the gundog training brilliantly and amazes me with his ability to progress so quickly! Its just me that needs to concentrate on it a bit more . . . . all the boring heel work etc gets mundane, we prefer to loon around retrieving across water! Trampolining, digging and manicures are also favourite past times when he's staying with my nieces!

Moss @ 15mths, doing what he does best.

He's naturally very leggy and athletic ........ and SO keen its untrue, at our training session the other week, the gun dog dude was showing me something using his dog . . . Moss suddenly flew into the field to take over his dogs retrieve.... chewed through lead hanging round his neck! :toast:

I really need to concentrate on the boring stuff though, he's so quick at learning its untrue, and just adores it.

I know, the gun dog dude keeps saying the same :icon_redface: . . . . he reckons he could do field trials novice now, he did a double thing the other day . . . where you drop 2 dummies at 300meters and he goes and gets one, comes back and goes out for the other ........ but its finding the time, i am making more of an effort though as the dog is a joy to train, i brought a whistle and everything!:thumbs:

My whistle is stuck to my hands, there called fingers :D .....either that or i'd forget it on shoot day...

Sounds like he is coming on well then......double retrieves at 15 months is good stuff....

I'd better get the finger out with my 2 as well (17 months)......basics covered and time for the harder stuff now......"stay calm, stay calm and breathe" :wallbash::wallbash: ...............
