My first piece of advice would be forget the electric collar, that pup is too young, and unless you have experience your timing will more than likely be off and you will f**k the dog up good and proper. If hes taking an unhealthy interest then he should be on the lead regardless, whats the dog like temperament wise, strong willed, middle of the road? Your correction should be tailored to the dogs temperament. Lots of interaction ON the lead and corrections for any aggression of chase instinct towards them, do not ever let the pup near stock with other dogs at this stage, keep it calm, consistent and regular

I think it was a member on here called 3turns, who answered a simular topic on stock breaking, some dogs need a firmer hand than others, i know nowt about bull breeds, but if this is of any help to you, here is what i did at a very early age to stock break my dogs

First of all, i can read my dogs like a book that is the interest i have in my dogs, so, take your dog out on the leash where there is livestock, now this is where you have to be able to read your dogs mind, as soon as the dog clocks livestock, a sharp tug on the leash with a simple command of no, if the dog is headstrong, then crack it one, repeat this couple of times a day, worked on all of my dogs, hope ive helped

good luck

my lab used to go mad when it see sheep when she was a pup but i had to get use to them where my old bitch went lab would not live her side took them in the field let the lab off lab did not look at the sheep

Trouble is that can be a double edged sword, the pup could chase a sheep and a previously stock broken dog joins in, seen it happen

6 monhth old and not sock broken, eh :icon_eek: . mine are in the fields around sheep atleast 12 weeks old and thy are fine around stock, there nearly 7 months. its not rocket science to stock break a pup. be firm and you'll get there.

let it run after the horses it will soon larn that horses are not game  as for the sheep a long lead and when he makes a breake for it tell him no twice and if he doesent stop pull that rope as hard as u can so he dosent forget wat no means repeat a couple of times and he will soon larn that sheep are not game
