Fishslayer 10
Those are very nice pics. Enjoy these innocent times while you can. Before you know it you're standing around a campfire with your little angel, drinking beers and discussing the best method to gut a deer. Cheers, Mark
lurchergrrl 1,441
There brill i love the second one best  Thank you Kay .. what you can't see is the alarming drop down to the river just a few feet in front of her They kept me on my toes yesterday. Those are very nice pics. Enjoy these innocent times while you can. Before you know it you're standing around a campfire with your little angel, drinking beers and discussing the best method to gut a deer. Cheers, Mark Mark, I sincerely hope that when the campfire days arrive, the kids are standing there with me discussing just such a thing. Better that than all of them not being even slightly interested, or worse, being far away from home. Raising them is such hard work now but I look forward to the day when I can survey them with satisfaction.

MuttleMcTuttle 21
I love the first three pics, and it's so good to see kids out and about in the countryside. You're giving them a great start in life Seems like they have so much energy though... have you considered a treadmill?
lurchergrrl 1,441
Thanks ladies! Muttle, I've considered a treadmill, as well as sedatives, a straight jacket and a padded room
artic 595
They are the best days. Getting mucky, eating sandwiches, drinking lemonade, and learning the ways of the countryside. I wouldn't have it no other way.
tsteve9999 456
My kids are in their 20's and 30's now but when we have a family get together the talk almost always turns to the days such as you have there, just messing around climbing trees and playing in the woods, and all 3 agree they were the best times of their lives. Small things like that have a habit of staying in the memory for a lifetime and in my opinion kids that live that type of life grow into well adjusted adults. Beddy-Poacher 30
Christmas holidays: a time during which all single parents are at risk of being driven to suicide  With the dogs desperate for a good blast, and the kids going stir crazy, and me being doolally at the best of times, I decided the family needed a good airing out today. Packed up a lunch and set off just before 11 this morning. We walked for 4 hours The camera battery packed in halfway through but I did manage to get a couple of slightly blurry pics in the low shitty light. Aaaand they're off! Surveying the River Calder A couple of posers And a spot of lunch on the cold wet ground Twas a good day out Muddy as all hell tho; makes me miss the snow! Stella is lookin' good Jenni.. Shes a beauty! And if it is'nt the randy whippet... I forgot his name? lol
