hi lads

well wor kid is stuck in bristol and all day the wind has been blowing until 6pm so it was with deep regret i had to venture out on my own

i got to the permission for about 19:30 and after a quick zero check i was on my way within 10 mtrs i caught a glimps for my first victim sitting about 50mtrs away there was a fence post if i could make it there it would bring me into zero range (and also a good shooting post) as i got to the post and settled my breathing i dropped my 1st bunny

and as it dropped another appeared which had been hiding in the long grass so that made it 2 for 2

after i picked that one up i had a quick flick and spotted number 3 this place was jumping tonight as i made my way towards it i noticed something bigger out the corner of my eye i was being stalked lol by a badger i just stood and watched it for a while and just as quick it disappeared into the darkness and number 3 had gone

so i thought about 25mtrs just at the base of a tree i could see 2 ears just the tips so not enough to get the shot i crapped forward to 15mtrs this was gonna be interesting if i kneel it disappeared so it had to be a standing shot and this is where it tell

3 in the bag within 30 mins ..things were looking good number 4 and 5 sat side by side

and also fell side by side

after that i headed back to the truck to drop off the 1st 5 and have a cuppa

round 2 i headed over towards the paddocks

were i came across 6 40 mtrs so 1.5 mil dot hold over and the pellet flew straight over its head but the bunny ran straight towards me lol keep coming i thought and it did when it got within range i gave a little squeak and it stood up right for me so i thanked him with an fx 16 grain straight to the brain

just then it started to rain so i took a little cover under the tree line and as i sat out popped this

about 10mtrs from where i was sat well if it wants to commit his body to me i will not argue 7 in the bag and i decided to call it a night but my last 2 wanted to wave my goodbye so i waved back 8 and 9 in the bag

 

so in total 9 in 2 hours

Working away during the week does seem to have it's disadvantages.....although the extra money is great, Not as though I can throw the rifle in the truck the same as I do with the camera

So what exactly are the rules in this comp because what I can gather is you make them up as you go along

I recall you dropping out of the comp the other day because of the young lad using the catty,then you had a good cry about it.Got the catty thrown out now you've rejoined the comp

I don't take part in the yearly comp but I do know the rules are laid out in stone and have been for a couple of seasons now

Very well thought out, promoted and entered by many experianced airgun hunters, always has been

 

As for sticking to the rules, I seem to remember this new comp stated in its rules all results were to be added to the one thread, but so far, I've seen at least three threads for it now; Sean's got his work cut out cleaning it up when he gats back!

I've had a fair few calls just as I've taken up the 1st stage though its just a case of repositioning the crosshairs now because they nearly always look up thinking "WTF?"
