gutted rabbit

while lamping last night gutted rabbit and left them in the field to bring in old raynard, gave it about 10 minutes before flicking the lamp on again and there was a rabbit eating the guts ive never witnessed this before wondering if anyone else had

never seen it myself,can only hazard that it may have been eating the stomach contents,very unusual though to say the least

that was my first thought, other herbivorous animals do the same thing

Rabbits eat their own pellets a few times over to get all the protein they can, so maybe the 2nd rabbit was just eating undigested grass from the gutted one. Or maybe it was a fox in a rabbit skin jacket right under your nose, :hmm::laugh:
