Phantom 631
TAKING THE PISS!!! Got to the Paddock yesterday afternoon a couple of young kits out at the 75 yard marker happily munching Twas a bit awkward trying to get my rifle out of the slip and loading it as the cricket club had a match on and eyes were every where, despite my rather weathered 'Warning Authorized Pest/Vermin Controller Operating on this Land" sign attached to the gate. Got the gun out and loaded and crawled along the fence on my hands and knees F K the nettles sting summat rotten. Got up to the end of the fence and bunnies must have seen me, cuz both gave me the bird with their cotton tails and vanished down the warren at the 30 yard marker. As it happens it was a good job they did this really as I have changed the Silencer to the modded, UK Niel custom silencer and of course the POA would not match up to the POI Set my zero card up and changed the scope turrets by a couple of clicks each and the bull was slaughtered I waited and waited and waited..... No show bunny wise, although I did manages to watch a couple of robbins making their nest, and a few Thrush birds gathering food for they're chicks. Eventually, I decided to go lay up by the central warren in the cemetery. I'd marked out my precise Zero point the day before, next to where the bunnies exit the old ladies garden. They always go from the orchard to here before dissapearingto the safety of the garden, where they sit, laugh and taunt me! I laid up for nearly an hour when I saw my 1st target. Bugger, my gun is ready in one direction and this is at about 180 degrees. To top it all, it had run to a spot that reminded me of the Crows wearing bullet proof vests. This bunny was sat behind cast metal railings at about 45 yards. I knew I could have taken the shot and made a good clean kill, if it wasn't for the part of the rails that kept the rest upright. If I had taken the shot, the pellet trajectory would have had the pellet hitting the metal crossrail which would have made enough noise to wake the dead. So I waited, keeping this little furry begger in my scope. It eventually moved so I only had 2 sets of rails between it and myself. As soon as its free of the rails, its dead. What happens next? Its ears pricked up and a few seconds later, a helicopter was heard and it flew over the cemetery the bunny of course did a runner back to the warren it had come from . Its a real pain in the ass having all these wealthy people round here with their private copters So after another hour; out pops another bunny to my right! This one was out of the central warren and was only a matter of 5 or six yards from me. No chance of turning the rifle round so off it goes. Soon after that, a bunny appears followed by two more all at the same spot, next to the old ladies fence and get this, they are ALL on my side  I wanted the on ein the middle as it seemed to be the largest. I placed my crosshair on the back of its head as it was sat looking into the garden. The other two went their own ways and just as I took up 1st stage, the bloody thing sprung like a jack in the box over the fence I could still see that all may not have been lost as there were a few still behind the railings, just a waiting game. What was bugging me was the fact that all these seemed to be comming from the right instead the usual left. Eventually a youngish maybe more than half grown bunny appears behind the railings and I get in my scope. The ruddy thing then proceeded to prance like a ballet dancer all over my killzone without stopping, until it got to within 15 yards of me, facing my scope. I could see it had the usual colours but it had a fawn and sandy coloured stripe running from its head down to its nose. Looked quite pretty as far as vermin goes I did a quick double check and as I lowered the gun for hold under, it turned and ran saideways out of my sight Feck! I saw loads of bunies last night, all of wich would not allow me to take a quick clean shot So at 22:00 as it was dark I came home empty handed. I would have said, theres always tomorrow, but I'm too pissed to take my guns out tonight. So they will have to wait until tomorrow Phantom Quote Link to post

Later, RiffRaff and I put scouring pads and hair curlers inside the AA mod and it made a hell of a difference So then I went back to the AA one on the S200, but it interferes with removal of air cylinder for cleaning/drying so now gone back to the UK Niel silencer this allows me to do all I need to. Its as quiet as a mouse, but like yours its very shiney. Rather than paint it, I got a bit of old DPM cloth and sewed a sleeve for the silencer. As for the Writing on the images, its a piece of cake bud, instructions on way via PM Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Hi Tony. Brilliant write up as usual. Bloody hard luck with the bunnies though bud Considering the little sod's give you such grief, your kill's must be soooooo sweet when they come I had a laugh at the photo of the cemmy.....there look's to be a ghostly hand around your shoulder :icon_eek: Good luck next outing mate......how's the heed?? ATB. Bill. Thanks Bill, Hangover went just as quick as the beer did! Yeah I take pride in the shots in the cemy, I'm now on a mission to bag that nice coloured one, I've nicknamed him speedy. Once he's in the cemy, theres no chance of getting a shot on him, he just goes like a road runner! Jack: Its a nice quiet place after dark the residents don't get out much and they keep their moaning to themselves. I've got 4 reletives in there so I can always give em hell if they start bugging me Anyway I am the Phantom, I out rank the ghosts and ghoules, spectres etc... Carl: Some of the bunnies in there I think are the remains of the some of the ghosts I've made there You only need to see some of the Zombie bunnies in there Remember when I first used an unfiltered torch in there, this demonic silver eyed creature just ran straight at me. I wasn't prepared for that reaction and it did put the hairs on the back of the neck up! Phantom Quote Link to post
