my deepest is about 5ft

and had a young lad who dug like a jcb so i let him do it

im always getting laid up. but thank god there normally around 21/2ft

 

cant believe so many dont dig to there ferrets

keep small ferrets then you dont have to dig lol

ferret we use here aint much bigger than your average kit , wouldnt be able to stop a determined rabbit.

she as been worked for about 8yrs now and never had to be dug to (touchwood)

Well if shes that age, I doubt you'll get much longer out of her. I havent had a ferret thats seen 8 years yet.

Got an old dew jill that is near 11 but even though i tried to work her she was very poor, totaly deaf, so gave up working her, she is now showing signs of cancer in the lymphonima gland so doubt she be with me much longer.

I must be lucky then or i have a really good ferret, never ever had to dig to my ferret or never ever lost a coller down the hole and touch wood i never will, im lucky like tha see.

Jesus i usually end up with a 4-5 foot every time i go out, sounds like you guys are getting it easy!

mostly 5 or 6 feet is the deepest average 2 feet or more and sometimes less , not always the deepest the most difficult at times
