Out Ferreting sat

Recommended Posts

Had a look out with the ferrets on sat on a new farm we have not been on yet the farmer told us where he wanted us to do today .As it is with a new spot you have to find where the warrens are so a bit of walking about till we started to find the rabbits we did some open field 3 and 4 holers and were getting 1 or 2 out we then bolted some young rabbits out of one warren so we pick the ferrets up and moved on got a few more out of small warrens then bolted more youngens . Tomo had been walking about with the dog and had caught about 5 he said he had seen some rabbits go into a wood some of the lads started to net up the wood and me and Tomo walked to where he had seen some go in next to the river we netted up first one bolted threw the net and got away we then lost 3 more :icon_redface: :icon_redface:2 out of bolt holes in the long grass and a hole i had missed on the river bank :icon_redface: picked up and went back to see how the lads were getting on in the wood they were doing well the rabbits wern't hanging about and there was plenty of diving on rabbits we had 17 out of the wood :) we had 36 by 12.30 and went for some bait did a few more holes after and ended up with 40 had a enjoyable day with some good lads :thumbs-up: .
