hafod 1
Hi all, I would just like all your opinions on what carp baits you think are best for this time of the year when fished on the bottom ??? Ben what type of water are you fishing..?iff there a lot of nuissance fish in there..ie small fish you want to avoid when after carp, try a boilie or a large pellet,or even tiger nuts that have been well prepared, this is assuming you have not got certain "bait bans" on your water.!!iff there is certain bait restrictions on your water, give the plastic pop up corn a try Quote Link to post

Guest Fishaben
HI, I am just about to set off and I think I am going to be buying some Halibut Boilies and VD, I am using PVA stocking with small pellets. Tiny Tim, I bought some of that pepperami this morning so I'll Give that a bash a bit later. I'll let you all know how I get on on Sunday. Cheers again, Ben Quote Link to post
tiny tim 22
i used pepperami a few seasons ago ...pepper on one rod boilie on the other...pva bagged both with high betaine pellets.....over the season the pepperami...caught 3 times the amount of carp and 5 times the amount of bream Quote Link to post
Guest Fishaben
Just got back and the end result was 10 Bream. I'm happy I didn't blank but when you put all the bait in for carp and then a Bream pops his head round the corner and munches it all up it is very annoying. I fished with a couple of different flavour boilies and I tried VD's Halibut Pellet with stocking of offerings and tiny tims pepperoni but the bream just got there first, to be honest they are a bit of an arse ache when fishing for carp, but yeh, I surpose it wasn't a bad result. Anyone else been out recently?? Ben Quote Link to post
