LDR V's MALLY to be run on sat 31st october

Well the David and Goliath heat is to be run on saturday night up on some land LDR has sorted. lol

 

I'll be running Vixen my 20" 30lb Whippet against Bruce (last years winner) he's 27" and weighs approx 70lbs!!!!.

 

I don't hold much hope, but we'll give it our best shot. I certainly won't be doing a Mark brick and jacking half way round lol.

This should be a good heat ! I've been out with both dogs many times, but never with the two of them together ! Two completly different dogs; a K.C. Whippet and a Lurcher "Of Unknown Pedigree" !! Vastly different in size, shape and running styles, but I've seen both do the job, day and night, so it will be interesting, to say the least !! All the best to both of you !

If the whippet is fit, It could be the winner, they are good for the lamp, 1 or 2 nights aweek, they are not my cup of tea, due to the fact of injury prone,

but on there day, they take some stopping, so best of luck to both dogs, and I hope they find some rabbits, to make a good nights sport,

My heart lies with the whippet and I hope she'll give a great account of herself. I know she will.

 

I hope both dogs come through injury free and a great night is had by all, apart from the rabbits of course.

 

This is a good opportunity to publicly acclaim the whippet, whether she wins or not.

I'm sitting FIRMLY on the fence on this one ! LOL ! LDR & Mally are the only two lads I hunt with on a regular basis, and the two dogs are amongst the best I've seen, of their type !! Also, just found out, I used to race whippets with the Great Grandfather of LDR's daughter !!!! Bloody hell, that makes me feel old !!!!

Good luck to you both. Bruce is a good dog to beat, but you never know how the night will go.

saw bruce out with an good old bitch of mines a few years ago we went bolting rabbits he enjoyed his day apart from the nettles , had a laugh ,met a few local contabulary who i put straigth , dogs jumoped in there nice clesan car what a laugh ,
