not exactly a leading brand but there waterproof and bloody warm, there called muddies... y mum baught them for me in TKMAX just because they were only £20

dunlop steeltoe cap wellies a mate got me some from the factory where he works think they about 60 pound to buy

Depends on your budget... The le chameau and aigle ones are good neoprene models... If your flush with cash go for the le chameau leather lined zip jobs, easy on and off, feet don't sweat half as much as neoprene ones... Hear good reviews about muckboots, warm and comfortable, nearly every pair I've seen have been ripped off bramble or barb, seem to rip easier than other boots?

I thought muck boots were good when I first got them...there to warm for the summer months but they dont last no time I got one season out of them

A word of warning about the le chamau wellingtons with the vibram sole i went through 3 pairs in 18 months the sole splitting across the middle.I got fed up of forever sending them back to john norrisis and got a pair of toggis that i have been happy with.atb dell

Toggies for me mate. Had mine for 3 seasons. Neopryne lined and full side zip up. Comfy as fcuk and cost me about £60 at the time. They should do another 2 or 3 seasons i reckon.

Dunlop Purofort are my wellies of choice. I wear them nearly every day and they last about 10 yrs Not exactly stylish or elegant, but they do the job and are warm in winter. Can walk miles in them too! Price around £45 from farm shops (they are a bit erm... agricultural)

I'm in the market for some new galloshes at the moment, so i'll come in handy to know whats out there, seen all the Le Chameau & Agile stuff but was wonderin if theres anythin else out there.

 

TimmyK off here has recently gone and got himself a pair of 'Cobras', says they are snake proof and if we end up in a field full of snakes, i'm fecked!!!

He read the write ups on 'em and it took a while to locate 'em but he did. Got to admit, they look sturdy and comfy enough but though he says they are a welly, they don't look like your average pair, time and fields will tell.

I have the Chamue wellies (neoprene full zip), Chamue high boots and Miendle high boot.............all similar type money and given the choice of just 1, I would go for the Miendle boots everytime.

I have the Tay muckboots, bought from uttings.com, they are comfortable and warm (a bit too warm in summer). I havent worn mine much but I dont think they will stand up to barbed wire very well for your use hbg.

As Bosun above, looking for a pair myself, only concern is they don't give the same ankle support a good pair of proper boots do.
