    hi guys ive just recently got my f.a.c and ive bought a tikka t3 light .223 and its fitted with a bushnell 6-18 x50 dusk and dawn scope and a harris tilting bipod, and i think its the dogs bollox, its like a drug i just cant put it down, since xmas ive bagged 3 foxes 147yds/190yds and 269yds so im well pleased with it but am i right in thinking the 22-250 is in a different league to the .223 in the sense that its better and more powerful, as i said im new to all this and if you dont ask you dont find out.. respect to all you shooters on here.. cheers hairyface

    i wont be in as big a hurry to get in on the action again, as i ran in on the lurcher and fox i fcuking slipped, put my hand out to break my fall and old foxy grabbed it, seconds later the lurcher started shaking the fcuker!!! my lass was sitting in the van at the gate, she said i was making more noise than dog or fox had a hand like a cornish pasty for a week

    just like hbg says, wait till the dog sees it, just coz you,ve seen it does mean the dog has, have seen me walk up to 10yards of a squatter with a young dog and it still hasnt clocked it till it moves,in time with experience it,ll all fall into place good luck

    my two mates have just bought a french semi-auto each, it was called ESCORT its a 3 and1/2inch magnum black or cammo multi-choke £350. with them being 3.5mags they can hold 4 cartridges of a certain size.

    have you thought about a cat litter tray, ive got 2 jills and they picked a corner to use as a toilet well as you say it soaked into the wood and stank, so i solved that problem and put a littertray inside and they always use it, clean it out everyday, no more smell

    personally i dont think colour matters that much, i actually like pied coloured dogs or white dogs, i think lucky was right, a blitz or striker flashin about would bring more attention.would i be right in thinking that a more eyecatching dog ie.(white or pied) would be less likely to fall into the hands of dog theives as apposed to the dark dogs and brindles tha all look alike. it was just a thought

    got a 1999 hilux doublecab mk4turbo, and was getting 30/31mpg until i put a canopy on it, now its down to about 28/29mpg but i think thats still pretty good ,off road av never had any probs yet, not the fastest on road but you can,t av everything. my old trooper was a flying machine but being a 3.1td it was very thirty,only got about 20/22mpg so it had to go. one thing that does piss me off about the hilux is you have to turn the wheel hubs when going offroad, a mate has a warrior L200 and it feels like your driving a fecking ford capri

    everybodies entitled to there opinion and what choice of breed they want and i respect that, but to say bull Xs are heavy and slow isnt exactly true, i agree some 1st crosses might be, as regards to rabbiting, but ive got a 3/8 bull 5/8 greyhound bitch thats 22inch and she,s f@@king dynamite on rabbits and hares and has the fire to tackle the nastiest charlie. but in the picture you,ve got a good solid bull X running against a racy looking beddy X, so its obvious which dos gonna get there 1st. what i lke about bull Xs is they will give 110% even when the chips are down and every one ive seen a

    well i picked him up at vets yesterday and he certainly looked worse for wear, to be honest going by the way he looked i thought he couldve done with another few days with the vet, there was vasts amount of puss ousing out of his mouth. anyway he ate a small amount, had a few sips of water and wasnt so bad, but today after the vets intraveinous antibiotics had worn off he seemed worse. i phoned the vet to say due to the fact he wont eat, i cant administer the tablets he,d given me, so he said we,ll swap them for some liquid antibiotics so bring him in at 6pm.Unfortunatly the little fella died

    thanks for all the replies and advise everybody its much appriciated, the vets been back to me and the terrier can come home tomorrow for some tlc , gonna be out of action 4 a while , apparently he looks like he,s been ten rounds with tyson. as for the terrier box, ive already split the hilux with a partition, so no more repeats. so thanks again everybody and all the best

    i agree do not trust again. terriers are prone for bringing out the nastiness in bigger dogs trust me i know.what age/sex are the two.have you had them long.hope its pulling through bet the vets are charging top whack for xmas time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the terrier is a 7yr old dog, had him since 7wks and the bullX 2yrs old (23inch powerhouse and in his prime) had him since 17wks, the bullX gets on with all the dogs but the terrier puts up with the other 2 terriers but has never cared much for the 2 lurchers, he,s abit of a cantankerous old b*****d but that terriers 4 you.     thaks guys, i was thinking that, to be honest am happy to put the lurcher with others coz he,s a canny dog in that respect, al put my life savings on the fact that the terrier started the fight and want to start where they left off coz he still thinks he,s the top dog, but obviously it was a bit one sided(14inch terrier Vs 23inch bullX) al be happy just to have him back coz he,s my best terrier. thanks again guys and all the best for 2006 to everybody on the site
