Just throw yourself at their mercy , explain what happened and say how thoroughly disappointed you are in yourself for not checking and taking the word of a friend you trusted and getting it wrong , the consequences of which are you losing your application free , days wages and the possibility o having a shotgun license and the possibility to join in your friends and family on their days out pheasant shooting etc . Sounds like you will have to plead ignorance which they will absolutely hate and refuse you for . When the fire arms officer came round mine and sat at my dinner table and got his paperwork out and was ready to start he said to me " right , do you have and criminal convictions " I replied yes , he then said " ok your in serious trouble here hecause you haven't put any down on your application " I told him I had and turns out he was looking at the wrong application in front of him . I have a conviction for burglary and for buying alcohol for someone underage . They were 10 years ago . I didn't have any documents of improved character or a lawyer involved and got my licence . It did take near 6 months and i think that was down to them looking at my convictions and taking their time making a decision . Just be 100% truthful and maybe phone a fire arms officer or go to your local police station and ask a officer . If you have been to jail I think it a no go tho I applied in June/July this year and got it just before Christmas

Read this in the paper today. No need for it even early in the am . all I have ever wore to bed is pants or footy shorts. My best friend is a electrician and they do a lot of council jobs and works in shithole estates . he says when they have break in the van you can see loads of people in their pjs on the doorstep having a smoke or walking across the street with their cuppa visiting neighbours in their pjs . I had people telling me the same thing as you . I think it applies when applying for a job that after a certain amount of years you don't have to declare , I assume people just assume it's the same for shotgun license aswell for some reason

My 5 year old boy has asked for a kids quad bike for his birthday in March . I've had a look online for them and most age ranges are 2-7 and electric . I'm thinking of its suitable for a 2 year old a 5-6 year old won't have much fun on it. I'm also worried electric will be crap on grass . Does any of the parents on here have any experience with them . I want something with enough pep for him to whizz around but not to much so he wrecks himself .
