    It's crazy not too! The 5 years prior to leaving England I was sourcing practically all my fruit/vege & meat from local farm shops. It's not always the most economical, I used to do a lot of driving around on the wkend & on a very tight budget...... .....but the satisfaction is enormous, plus I picked up permission..........something you don't get in tesco's ;-) Actually this is something that should be taken much more seriously imo............It's alwright voicing how great British produce is, but how many go out of their way to do it like this? & even if it costs you more mon

    First of all GL where's the invites? Looking tasty and colourful as always. On the question of sourcing local, My lamb comes from a farm about a mile away as does some pork the rest from elsewhere in Northern Ireland , My eggs from down the road or from about 8 miles away, My oil from a mile away, My beef northern Ireland, All game locally, Fresh fish from Northern Ireland, Veg as much as possible local, Beer local or UK. Unfortunately chicken isn't free range and chances are from abroad ie Thailand, hoping to rectify that. I do my best to support local businesses and farmers.

    all the fuss of the brexit thought i best squeeze in one more inbetween the rain before we have to go back eating beans on toast everyday , Suffolk chicken welsh lamb , Suffolk chorizio bangers English beef with a few chopped chillies out the gardy , as from now no French cheese or wine and its all things local for me

    love this time of year when the towns of Suffolk / Essex put on there fetes n food fares from homemade lemon drizzle cakes to bacon smoked in guiness n treacle local indian street food venison burgers and wild mushroom sarnies ,, esp the duck rolls chillie con carnie and beef brisket , washed down with a beer n a bit of seafood , unlike the game fairs the food on offer at these fetes n faires is good fodder even got a few bits for a bbq for when we got back as now we left the eu its Weetabix from now on app

    It has been averaging around €1.26 over the last year. It is now €1.23. That is less than 3% and only caused by the money market's predictable reaction to any uncertainty. If you'd been offered €1.23 three years ago you would have snatched their hands off.
