    Hi there mate and welcome . Any tips on getting my cocker too retrieve better have tried loads of ways too get him interested but he either takes it or leaves it there's just no drive in him to want too retrieve, fantastic worker flushing etc but will not retrieve. Cheers Andy

    Ok simple get your recall into place on the button, go too places where you know there is quarry too flush ( cockers are not stupid why cut the selfs to bits if nothing is in there ) and work her into bushes where she can flush quarry that way she will relate this too fun and there will be no stopping her !!! Apart from your recall !

    Hi there definitely take it out alone spend some time working flushing areas cockers are brilliant in the the thick of it mine will not stop in any cover until he has pushed it through and knows it's clear your probably find its an age thing and hasn't been rewarded for pushing through rough cover, I mean none of us would want too go through rough brambles etc. Trust me once they have the idea and know what to expect and what needs too be done there isn't a bush that would stop them. Keep working on it alone and it will come.

    Hi there guys, just reading through this topic and have experienced the same situation. It's not easy to break/ re train a dog from someone else. I bought a 12 month old cocker from a family who clearly bought him as they liked the colour and lived in the countryside so must have a working dog dog !!! Wrong they bought a hand grenade on legs and the only way they could steady him down was basically starve the poor chap. 6 months of intensive training and he is a cracker so it goes to show as long as there from good working lines and you are willing to devote hours of time you can make what you

    Hi there have a look in air gun shooter magazine March 2015 the best new springer rifle award goes too the lgu fact !!!! Only the test of time will be if it can rock the others but I have too say mine is great very accurate looks good apart from the locking mechanism on the cocking lever apart from that I would thumbs up. Which ever of the three you go for I don't think you can go wrong as I had them all ! .

    Totally agreed guys they are spooky in the winter months so always push for a bit of roost shooting

    Hi all I have a walther lgu and to be honest straight out the box its magic !!! I have had pcp rifles and other underlevers weirauch and it really is as good and good value for money. Fairly heavy gun but keeps recoil too a minimum

    Hi all just a brief introduction about myself, I'm into all kinds of field sports shooting and fishing being a big part of what I do and enjoy, I'm a syndicate member of a small shoot in Devon and spend a lot of my time pigeon shooting throughout the year. I have a cocker spaniel which I use for beating on our shoot and use him regularly rough shooting too. I am always looking for more land too shoot anyone can offer that would be much appreciated .
