    Iv'e found setting my traps without gloves prior to finding run and placing works ok.

    Cant remember exactly was 7 year ago that happened, all started with a small cut on the middle knuckle and spread like wildfire. Thing with infection it's not just the infected site that hurts like hell, it drags your entire system down to rock bottom and makes you very ill.

    That bug was eating away at me rapidly, three trips to theatre in 10 days to save the finger.

    This is what can happen and did happen due to contact with soil born bacteria.Tendon destroyed due to infection and left with a painful permanent disability. I always wear gloves nowadays.

    Matt I've just got the hang of voice recorder feature on my phone, got to say it's a god send on playback 3 days later. Say it as you see it and the jobs a good un.

    Loads of traps dug at this morning Matt, looked like fox so I've put out 3 trail cams just to see what is going on.

    Just to clarify for everyone, mole catching is a hobby to me and not my goal as a fulltime occupation. I'm ok as I am with other things regards the struggle of day to day living, tis just a string to put to my bow as old age approaches as it does eventually to all of us.

    Thanks all I have no probs with talpax and duffus,just these bloody nomole things. I'll try harder and iron out what I'm doing wrong this week before the snow comes.

    This is flowing water Matt not just flooded still ground level. Most of the snow gone now but the water table is at peak as it runs off the fell.

    Matt I had 6 blocked today in the same runs I've caught in. this be down to the amount of water flowing perhaps?

    New area today was a bit of a mare, as all the snow melt from the adjacent fells has created underground streams in the runs. Hasn't stopped any activity just they are now running right under the turf roots.
