    Just a thought but to me it seems like the coating is to smooth where the ring is. How's about rubbing it with some emery paper to roughen it?

    Hi socks and thanks for the reply, bloody things seem to go off as I'm gently backfilling the hole and it's a case of dig out again.no probs with talpax or duffus just these. Will be my fault as they are new to me.

    So what does that do to aid my serious question, some folk on here really need to take a look at how they treat new members. Probably the most inhospitable forum I have ever joined bar the odd few decent posters. I can now see why turmoil has occurred here in the past. Poor show! and I'm back to reading if I can be bothered.

What's in everyone else's bucket or game bag? made my own probe with a t-shape spade shank from the iron mongers, drilled the bottom out and glued in a 5mm steel hex rod 2ft long. Probe,clear and turn upside down to firm both sides of the run,2 tools in 1 if you like.
