A simple apology from the accuser to the recipient will do for me! I do not and never had multiple accounts on here. -

Sounds like my brother-in-law has beaten you to it Smithie. He's got a home made on on eBay already he's welcome to it. the difference was I'd be giving them away. I'm not motivated by money at all. Clive, your BIL is selling them with the putanges, not separately. Smithie as I have stated before has a heart of gold, he makes stuff for people, then sends them out to them at his own cost and asks for nothing in return. TC Yes, I understand that. No offence was intended. My brother-in-law Ian is one of those people who won't stand fast, and when he found himself short of s -

Cracking tool for the job and it's all I use most days. However I remember a post way back complaining about the concave blade and can see the point in the posters thread regards cutting out a nice rectangle. Gunna grab one of mine tomorrow and heat it in the vice to flatten out then a cold dip to harden. They really are a good bit of kit and a flatter version may be a nice option.

When it's as wet as this (snow just beginning to shift) i'll just get on with some chainsaw work and log splitting. no fun making the mole job a mare in poor conditions.
-
not sure what the underline is about?
-
I just leave well alone in these conditions bearing in mind we are currently under 7" of snow lol. traps lifted yesterday as we knew it was coming.so probs back to graft Wednesday now.
-
Yip same here, ground is saturated and got hit with umpteen squalls of sleet/rain today. Pulled the lot and wont be setting out again until Tuesday at the earliest.

Just wondering how others are comparing this year with last year regards activity. Have to say here it is non stop on pasture, cereal land looks ok for now. They all running well high regards this time last year due to the wet mild conditions, prefer them a bit deeper myself for ease of catching. Good spell of hard frost required but nothing on the cards so far.

Wouldn't mind a go with one of these but the seller is scared to supply me. Ill keep filling the wires with the Talpex as it's like a turkey shoot at present. Feel free to message me Nicepix and I'd certainly give your traps a run out and leave an honest review regards how good they are compared to the others on the market. -
If it's popped back up by Thursday i'll drop a magnum down it and see what the result is, should get some good smoke up.

nah it wasn't a fortress as you usually see them, more a huge mound with nothing in it but a vast network of tunnels branching off 360 degrees and most at different depths. Ground is so wet here at present and it popped up on a shelf part of the field so maybe a nest in the process of construction. I only left this field alone for 8 days or so before returning today always been a very productive field regards catching down on the lower slope.

Huge mother of all mole hill sitting proud above some old hills. Had me perplexed to say the least as I approached, probed it and found multi runs 10 to 18 inches around it. was enough muck up top to half fill a wheel barrow no probs,so I decided to skim the hill and the surrounding 3ft of grass around it. I found spaghetti junction with 5 runs and 3 dead ends in total around the hill. Never seen such a large spoil heap before and no way could I get a duffus in as there wasn't a stretch straight enough.so I tracked back 6 ft and placed 5 talpex right around the hill and in all the runs I cou

Nah thanks! will stick with my Talpex for now.Once again though, thanks for the offer and good trapping to all your new customers. -
Lifted 7 this morning out of 17 set, not great in the whole scheme of things. but I did over trap 4 runs just to make sure and they scored so all in all not too disappointed. moved and reset another 8 wich i'll check first thing in the morning before the weekend ramblers decide to wreck matters. Trapping on a weekend is dodgy here as we are on a vast network of public footpaths that get used heavily over the weekend. never had a trap stolen mon-fri. but loads over the weekend. Just something else you learn over time regards your location.
