  1. I can imagine this would work a treat... should I gut them on his doorstep too?
  2. The same as many of you are, I’m on the look out for permissions at the moment. I’ve done a bit of door knocking a while back but with little luck (I was a bit younger then and probably came across as too young). I decided to wing it a little and send out some letters to a couple of farms and golf courses in the area. In fairness I didn’t think I’d even get a response and I’d prefer the chance to meet people in person as it’s to put myself across to them. A letter can seem very impersonal but what the hell, worth a bash! I wrote a nice cover letter and used the waiver and permission form
  3. I gave it a miss yesterday although now I’m regretting it. Working tomorrow unfortunately. Someone has to save the world haha
  4. I’m working Sunday unfortunately otherwise I’d be all over it! Looking at taking a trip over today if I can be bothered. Ive decided I can’t be bothered. ?
  5. Is that a euphemism? Cause as said before... I’m not sure what you get up to in your spare time walshie but you do you.
  6. I mean really? I posted this exact story yesterday on this same forum in general talk
  7. What you get up to in your own time is your business sir... You do you Im still unsure as to whether I am actually going to go yet haha. Might see if I can find something more exciting to do haha.
  8. Is that the one lounging about... cause if it is they are far to comfortable out your way ?
  9. We get a lot around work to be fair. Regularly see them on our cctv and wandering around. I have seen my fair share on the way home from town or the pub after a few
  10. I agree. I’d be making sure something was done about it. Luckily we don’t get many urban foxes round my way although I’ve seen the occasional one or two.
  11. I’m of the same mind at the moment ? can’t decide if it’s actually worth me getting up early to go haha.
  12. https://apple.news/Aopt1UEUDTn2jiIWhVKuxiw I mean, I know if a fox regularly visited my garden I wouldn’t be too happy, let alone with a baby in the house, I’d be making sure my property was secured if for nothing else for the safety of my child. All seems a bit mental when you think of it. Although I did like the line ‘you don’t expect a fox to behave in that way’ what? Like a fox? They aren’t spaniels ??
  13. Cheers Arry, definitely enjoyed it. I would love to introduce to my nephews when they are little older and get them into the country sports scene as I never had anyone to do it for me. Definitely hooked. Thoroughly enjoyed myself! Thanks to everyone for your comments!
  14. It was good fun and as I said, very informative. Cheers for letting me get involved. I appreciate the fact you let me get hands on from the get go. So many people wouldn’t let newbies get so involved so quickly, but it was nice to be able to get hands on and do a bit of everything. And I do take it as a compliment. It was definitely a bit daunting but again, thoroughly enjoyed myself!
  15. Today I was lucky enough (and daft enough to do it before a night shift) to go ferreting for the first time. Never been out and done this before so I was ultra keen to get out and learn as much as I could. Rabid kindly showed me how to set nets properly and explained the various things to remember. We took his 2 ferrets out with us, they’ve not been worked before so I was told not to expect too much from them. I was just excited to try, didn’t mind if we didn’t get anything. The holes Rabid originally wanted to run the ferrets through turned out to be a little to foxy for the ferrets so a ret
  16. View Advert For sale - Dan Wesson revolver .177 CO2 Hello all, I brought this pistol back in December for use at my local range and after 1 trip out it hasn’t seen the light of day which is a shame. It’s a .177 CO2 pistol. Comes with the 6 insertable cartridges (pellets are seated in the rubber at the back of the pellet and then inserted into the cylinder to fire) gun is fully serviceable and shoots well. As I say, used once and has been in the box since. Comes with a padded hard pistol carry case worth £20.
  17. Well I’ve got all of that down bar the full bag ?
  18. Ah fair enough. Didn’t mean to sound confrontational or owt. Just never seen it myself is all.
  19. good shooting, are you shooting them out of trees with a rimfire?
  20. https://basc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2016/03/Firearms-licensing-medical-process-fact-sheet.pdf here is some BASC info. They state in there "What happens if my GP does not want to operate the new system? Another GP in the practice can provide the information. If this is not possible, you should discuss this with the police firearms licensing department. Applicants and certificate holders should not be disadvantaged if their GP does not provide the information needed."
  21. I definitely agree. I’m used to blanking, I’m an angler ? but I draw the line at laying down in cow shit. I’m all for thinking like the prey but if that means rolling in cow shit to think like a fox I’ll stick to carp ?
  22. I think that might be how you end up with thrush or similar in the first place. But hey.. if you’re into smearing yourself in yoghurt that’s your business. ?
  23. Welcome to the forum mate. You go beating for squirrels? That’s a new one on me... driven squirrel shooting. Think you might be on to a winner there.
