  1. good stuff mate, pleased for ya
  2. you'll need either a 12v 17 ah or a 18ah battery anything less wont last very long ....Rambo. i use a 50 watt bulb in my blitz and run it off a 14amp belt pack, this gives me a good nights lamping off the back of the van(lamp on most of the time this way) and no difference to the beam with the smaller bulb

  7. i think if people wanted to see the dogs run they should forget about the competition and get out for a night with andy, the comp is gonna be ran over a time limit(i think it was mentioned)so any half decent dog will catch rabbits walking for a couple of hours(slipped alternatley at that),but chasing hares/rabbits off the back of the van with very little rest in between runs and for a lot more that 2 hours is a different game and this is where the minshaw breed will exel above any other that i have seen in my years with lurchers. if it bothers so many people about this breed and what they can d
  8. good on ya mucker for telling the truth, how many would do that??? as long as the dog had a run and the young un enjoyed it,i would'nt bother what others think mate
  9. time moves on this is a different era to when the minshaw lurcher was in its heyday, about 10/15 years ago nearly every dog man around my area owned a minshaw lurcher or a part minshaw bred dog, people get old things change in people's lives and not everyone does what they used to do.most of the hardcore lads as i would call them that used to go out with these dogs and catch big numbers have either moved onto different types of dogging(different quarry)and needed a different type of dog(bull xs came on the scene)or just packed the job in full stop, and there are'nt as many youngsters around the

  18. so now your saying bullxs dont get used on rabbits and hares ,and if you would'nt own one thats fair enough but dont knock people who do,but do yourself a favour pal get out with people who own and work bullxs before you slag them off and you'll see there's more to them than your single minded opinion  .
  19. thats your opinion, but everytime there's a post about bull xs your on turning it around to collies are better, answer the question the lad first asked or shut the f*'k up because your the same on every site collie this collie that,as you keep saying(everytime you post) each to there own so let people with bull xs do what they wish and stop trying to convert them, because it wont happen pal.
  20. i dont know of anyone who owns or works this cross, and i cant understand why anyone would.using american pitbull in lurcher breeding,is going backwards, not forwards.we should be striving to breed lurchers with brains, good feet, good coats, and less aggression, dogs like these cant be classed as allround hunters.if its pig hunting you do,then these would do the job, but each to their own.regards collie john.
  21. its the sister to my pups
