What would you guys say he is 3/4 Sal 1/4 grey is it? I’m not surprised he’s not exactly what it says on the tin, the lad I got him off was thick as shit and the house was absolutely boggin. The pup responded well to me and looked in good nick, couldn’t in good conscience have left him there

he could be any combo of saluki grey, but most are not straight crosses these days but line bred, so percentages don't come into it. just have a great summer and get ready for some fun atb.

Who says saluki x's don' take feather lol nice looking pup mate how' it bred?

she line bred mate all the usual suspects , charley, jack,  snowy, tramp, coalfields, joe, etc. with regard to the hen she still does it now and again if your not looking.

  3. some times when coursing (pre ban) you would sometimes slip on a hare close to cover if there was not much about and a good dog can often turn these into a decent course, but not if you or the dog don't try, there are some very clever dogs in the coursing game who wont leave anything, so while I know what people are saying I still think picking runs is a weakness in a dog, stalking on the other hand to within range and then lounching the attack very clever in my eyes, I had a pure saluki once  that used to run up wide in the dark when lamping and pop in behind the rabbit a very clever dog he was, and he would all ways give it a go.

  4. my first lurcher used to pick fruit like my present one , but my first recollection of brassicas was a first cross saluki greyhound eating sprout peelings from round the kids rabbit hutch, her father used to make me lough when the rabbit saw them coming it would jump through the hole into the nest box and luke would go straight round the back ready for the bolt, lol.

I got wooly coatedbitch 3/4 sal 1/4 grey x lurcher with bull dh gh & collie in the mix very strong solid bitch bout 23 1/2”tts but her coat is a nightmare like velcro i would never go for a wooly coated dog again or a dog with sal in it. She’s a cnut!! Atb

every one blames the saluki when there dog has an awkward streak, half a dozen breeds in the mix and saluki gets the blame, the saluki brings far more to the lurcher table than any other dog.

  7. its a scientific fact the bitch controls the size until birth so no probs, there can be the odd big pup in any litter that can course a problem, one of my cockers had a big pup ended up at the vets, with regard to breading as above only bread from good stock if you cant do that buy in, people in working cockers seem to want certain popular studs' and this leads to everything being closely bred I choose a dog based on ability for my lines not how much red is in his paperwork but there have to be enough different dogs in the blood as well, we all need to breed for quality, I went to the best field trial dog in the country cost £350, went to a mates dog last year because  it was a good dog and a good match for the bitch, cost me a pup the pup value £650 money don't matter just quality. sorry for rambling.

That's because kids come into contact with dogs on a daily basis and foxes extremely rarely. It's nothing to do with which is more likely to attack.

I expect dogs bite more people than sharks do.

your right of course, but in towns and cities these days there are lots of foxes and care must be taken, and I would not swim where sharks do lol.
