Cracking bike that dmd? Yes my Sram cassette has a 50 tooth at the top.. that's very big! But Srams rival, Shimano, didn't want to be outdone in the big sprocket war.. and released a 51 tooth sprocket!! I think the last I'd read... Sram came back recently with a 52!!!?? I can spin up any hill with the range I've got.. but i could just do with a slightly harder gear at the top end.. i do sometimes spin out on a long flat trail. It's no big deal to be fair though.

Yes.. Lime or Coriander must be in 90% of their meals!!? We've had a few minor ingredients missing over the last few weeks.. my mrs has been able to substitute them with things we have in the cupboard without much bother luckily. They do credit your account nicely for that mind..?

Just to wanted to say.. think i mentioned the number '250' a few pages back.. that is the number of these big cats that the Uk could support according to those in the know. Not the current UK cat population. Different types of cat too. Yeah.. 250 sounds a lot i agree. Say there were 100 of these big moggies in the UK. Uk 94k sq miles. Thats 0.001 big kitties per mile...? Trying to put that into perspective. Take Cornwall for this example.. We've all been and it's easy to visualise. Cornwall.. 1439 Sq miles. That gives Cornwall a population of 1.53 big cat's.

Rusty, one did go missing in Wales... and it killed 7 sheep. Yes.. i know where you're coming from mate. Some people freely spew bullshite whithout giving it a second thought. I've know a few of them over the years i can tell you!! I've actually been told of 3 other sightings. A bunch of site lad's returning home in the works van apparently had a black Leopard cross the road in front of them. Seen by all 5 of them from the crew cab. A woman walking her dog... again 'apparently' watched a big cat with 'tufted' ears stalking a covey of Partridge. I don't mind admitting i find this topic very interesting. I listen to the poddy.. normal folk, just saying what they've seen. People with nothing to gain from sharing their experience... Anyway, i mentioned this big cat thing to my sister. She's mid 40's.. lives in Penrith and is a teacher. Proper outdoor's type. Sorry mate, I've been out all day. The chap that does the big cat conversations poddy speculates there could be a uk population of upto 250. Obviously it's just an educated guess based on what he and the other experts in that field believe...?

Interesting reading that Sandy.. so they do get killed on the roads So CA has 5000 Pumas and is 1.7 times bigger than the uk. On that population ratio comparison the UK would have 2941 Pumas would it not?? But apparently those in the know suggest we may only have 'up to' 250 big cats in the UK.. So that works out at 8 Uk road deaths a year.... i think!! I wouldn't say the A361 is equal to crossing a big 8 laner interstate highway mind. Food for thought and all that!!?

Ah right mate, i didn't realise. Just thought a big cat would have more brains about it than most of the other critters further down the food chain..? Like a hedgehog for example... thick as f@@k!!!

Wouldn't a big cat have bit more brains than the likes of a mink... and wait for the approaching headlights to pass before crossing?? Seen plenty of domestic moggies complying to the green cross code and that's been during the day time too. Just a thought!!
