  2. JD and cuaguthingybob cheers for the comments , thought the piccy was a fair example of how a birds plumage adapts to suit its chosen habitat... Glad you enjoyed that mate...... good luck with puberty!

Now then, i'm sure i read in the terrier section a few months back, that a member had removed some of his posted images off here because "some sad twat had downloaded them", what i'm asking is, can you tell if an image has been downloaded from THL other than seeing it posted somwhere else? im with you Mally, bang out of order...

  8. Cheers for that Kay and JD, yep... the starling shot is one of true beauty , alot of foresight and the technical knowlage there to pull that one off, glad you liked them......
  9. Well worth a look folks... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/art...aping-wolf.html Here's the hybrid............. not my handy work i might add..
  10. Down on the Pembrokshire coast last week, managed this shot of a Peregrine sat looking out to sea. Focal length right out at 200mm, stopped it down a bit F7.1, wind blowing like mad, used my old mans shoulder to rest on.. this was the pick of the bunch, just wish i could have got closer! Soon took to the wing, joined by another, drifted in the wind for a couple of fields, then one dropped out of the sky into a field full of crows.. nice! Thinking about investing in one of these.... might not look quite right with my 450d hanging off the end!!!
  11. A great choice mate ......., but for me the 'TALLICA' boys just edge it.....
  12. Thats a great help mate, just what i was after... anyone one else got anything to add?

  16. Come on lads, Neil is a genuine sound bloke, i've had quite a bit of gear off him over the years (face to face), he even re-wired my striker... would'nt take a penny....
  17. This little chappy caught me a bit offguard, such a shy fast flying bird, always chuffed and consider myself lucky just to see kingfishers, never mind get a piccy or two.! Not the best in the world but.. dont want to say too much.. but.. watch this space! Will be going back to this spot minus noisy daughter and dogs constantly crashing about! might even get cammoed up.... tent... ready meals... haa..
  18. Recieved my lensor P14 just last week, you wouldn't want anything bigger sizewise.. just about pocketable, quite a bright beam considering the small (39mmish i think) lense diameter, plenty of reach for a quick spin on the bunnys, takes x4 AA batterys (included), nice quick spot to flood option if you need it.. just wish the spot was a bit tighter, but thats probably me just being a bit fussy... got mine from here.. http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.ph...EARCH&comp= on the whole, a nice bit of kit.. i'll take some pics if i get round to it...
  19. Nice dog and a cracking piccy there Macsen, where is it? Cader Idris?? cheers
  20. Bit in Sept issus of THE FIELD mag,... a munty got knocked over in Co Down, causing abit of a stir, apprently that was the first wild sighting..

  22. Cheers JD, feel like i'm getting a bit out my depth! does make sense though.. and i appreciate the advise , you've got to strive to get better... i'm all ears, no point doing half a job..
  23. Cracking post mate and great piccys! Hope that clamp's a good un ! i'm in the engineering game, and an old boy once told me "dont put your fingers where you wouldn't put your nob"... Glad you sorted the piccys in the end mate..
  24. Cheers for all the comments.. gillies, thats exactly what i ended up doing and using my other hand to steady the flower, bit breezey..
