wiganred replied to Dewclaw69's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
You can't be any more upfront than you have and better than have him sitting in a kennel frustrated Atb Hope he finds a good working home he deserves -
Cheers Keith.. Just been n bought a load of chicken for her... Better fed than me !!!! Lol

Good luck pal b*****ds!

Under pressure from the misses and kids they've decided change her name to sky Made herself at home and early training is going better than I expected.sitting to verbal and hand signals.placed a small board across the doorway she has to step over to get to her food n water. I'll start her on the wait/stay this week.. Routine at moment is sleep, eat, empty, have a mad one,bit of training/playtime then bk to sleep..

Fekin scum Hope you get them back pal

She's 1/4 beddy 1/4 grey 1/2 whippet... She's going nowhere Keith but I catch your drift ??
-
She will be a half way house pal... There will be outside kennel and run for her.. More convenient especially when your getting in at stupid o'clock in the morning and the dogs are full of crap... But to expect it to settle into a kennel routine outside on its own at 10 weeks and wonder why it's crying and yapping seems a poor excuse to get rid in my opinion pal...

She was fine Keith.. Slept in her bed and [BANNED TEXT] we got up this morning she emptied herself outside... Can't fault her... Not surprised she was yapping in a kennel 10 weeks old and left on her own !!?? All good ??

No I don't have a cage Keith and that's a good idea... She won't be getting passed on mate.. A dogs for life in my house and easy to blame the dog for problems when it's ignorant owners 90% of the time.. She's doing fine and will see how we go on tonight.., If I could work out how to put a picture on I would !!!! Grrrrr

Finally picked up the pup today.. Breeder was a top bloke and really genuine.. The dam was a great looking dog and both pup and dam were in top condition, especially considering she's just had the litter... Made up with the pup, smooth coated and piercing blue eyes she's a stunner... Been licking me to death and made herself at home already... She's sat in her bed chewing a pigs ear at the moment.. Thanks to all involved and as soon as I can work out to get some pictures up I'll bang some on and keep you posted with her progress... Atb...

I'm ok until the pain killers wear off .. lol Yea she was vocal outside in a kennel on her own... I guess with a pup it can be expected.. She will be in the house with me and have a nice warm bed and not feel alone so fingers crossed.. She may be kennelled eventually but will see how we go... She'll get looked after and sure she will settle in well Atb bird..

I feel shit hot when the pain killers are workin, soon as they wear off I feel like I've had a good kickin... Off work for a week so be able do some bonding with the pup when I get her later?? Cheers lads.

Tip for action shots Fast shutter speed and a wide aperture on camera will freeze the action..if camera has burst mode shoot on that, this will improve your chances of sharp pictures... Can be hit and miss and a decent camera and lens can make a world of difference.... Some great action shots caught here ... It can be a bit hit and miss but this day and age just rattle the shots off at least there's no film being wasted and just delete the blurred/missed shots.... it's the machine-gun method lol I was a sports photographer for my sins and there are more deleted than keepers ?
