try putting your brain into gear and READ my last reply, no where do I say it's illegal to use a stone, what I say is the general license is regarding shooting (which uses mostly a lead projectile) and therefore catapult users could argue the point out if ever need be, that they use a lead ball, can you see this now??? but openly admitting on an open forum that you used a stone, would be you couldn't use that ideaas for me not reading the general license, you tend to have to, to pass the BPCA, but whether you belive that or not, does not matter one bit, its down to the individual shooter to re

Where the fcuk does it say that it's illegal to use a stone from a catapult and you must use lead? Stubby just made it up and is lying to try to reinforce his point. Or he's telling everyone to read the general licence when he hasn't done so himself.
-
You should call the police..... ......I'm sure they'd enjoy the laugh!! What difference does it make if he used a stone or a lead ball?
-
I think that you're incredibly brave. I'm not saying that I won't ever get things wrong but I'll do my best to support your decision to become a woman. I hope everything goes OK. I say this with the greatest respect...........Can you send me a photo of your tits when they install them?

I'm left eye dominant so I just close it. Some people who are right handed shoot perfectly well with the catty in their right hand. I think that it may give a novice an advantage if they hold the pouch in their dominant hand though.
-
You should hold your catty in your weaker hand. The same as a bow. The hand that does all the work and requires most control is the hand holding the pouch.

OK. When you're giving advice to people and telling people that they're wrong are you doing that with the guidance of someone else? Lol!!!! -
Your ammo is way too small.

Starting Dog Pre Ban With No Pilot

cheers stabba, it was the opposite I was intrigued of. How does a dog enter without an older dog as I've always used an older dog Out of interest, how many dogs have you entered? -
There are no negatives to either of those proposals.
-
No, they'll be fine. They're not that light so won't cause premature wear.
-
Marbles do. Maybe not at real long range, but certainly out to 15 yards. Best to try for a headshot with marbles.
-
Use ball bearings or marbles or bullet heads or hex nuts or bits of cut metal bar. They'll all be more accurate than stones. Stones are all different size and weights. Even 2 identically shaped stones can be different weights and fly differently. If you really struggle and are ever near Croydon or the Surrey/Sussex borders I'll meet up with you and we can sort out what frame and bands suit you best.
-
Go to Screwfix or Toolstatiob and buy some hexnuts.
-
With high draw weight bands your accuracy will suffer. I shoot out to 30 yards, regularly. I get headshots % of the time. Higher draw weights don't necessarily mean higher velocities or kinetic energy.
-
That's a lot of pulling for not a lot more velocity. I can't shoot 4 strands per side. If I needed loads of power I'd go to TBG before doubling up the 1745's. As it is, I can kill pigeons, pheasants and rabbits with looped 1745's and hexnuts.
-
Ocset does that catty have any particular name ? tried a few now and just cant get to grips with them but never seen one like that before. As others have said its a Toucan. I usually shoot naturals that I've made. I've got an apple fork that I've shot for years with TBG. I decided to shoot these skinny Chinese tubes for at least a year to give them a proper try. The years more or less up but I'm really enjoying them and still making kills out to the same distance I did with TBG. To be honest, I think I'm more accurate with these tubes. I bought this frame so that I got the whole Orienta
-
Lead is too heavy to get the best out of the thin Chinese tubes. Steel works better with them. I've killed pheasants at 25 yards with a M10 hexnut and looped 1745's. When I shoot TBG I use lead though.
-
I tried it years ago before they called it Dub Dub. If it's all you've ever known then you wouldn't mind it but theres loads of much better stuff out there. Try some M10 hexnuts out of looped 1745's.
-
Dub dub isn't very good. It was introduced by a bloke with hardly any experience who was trying to take the catapult world by storm and revolutionise it. He was even talking about getting catapults into the Olympic games!! LOL!!! He had a mate who had no experience either and they both lied and made out that they had been shooting catty's for years. I think a few people believed them and they promoted Dub Dub as this fantastic stuff. It's just Rolyan tubing with a different name.
-
That's the sort of weight I'd expect of a fat bird during the moult. That may explain her poor performance and why she never flew pheasants. The problem with some HH is that they'll still be tame at really high weights and may still follow on. They just won't be sharp or have much of a desire to chase.
-
I'll concede that. I won't fly from the car because of the poor quality flights that you get and the fact that it's just killing. Maybe you could to build a birds confidence but it's not for me. I'd much rather stalk up on something and then get a slip from the glove and watch that flight. You're quite right, if the quarry gets away after flying well I'd always be pleased. I use a catapult to give the quarry more of a chance than with a gun. You have to realistically get within 15 yards of your target to achieve a kill. I know I often post about longer kills but I've been at this catapult la
