  1. We have mainly SBTs as a group and have always found both Lurcher World and Coursing Crew more than accommodating in putting on extra show rings and running / coursing specifically for us as our dogs are not your traditional workers in the most part, chat to the organisers if you feel aggrieved, good lads and lasses all of em, all the ones we have had dealings with anyway.
  2. Here we are the next ACES day info, we will be down the field the weekend before doing the weight pull training day and we will update the car parking situation a few days before. The day will run a little differently with as many dogs being kept active at the same time as possible. As the Pups, Runners and Unders have their lure racing we would like to have the LBB group and the overs doing their weight pulling, weigh in for all dogs will be up at the weight pull before they start pulling not at registration as we do now. We will then finish the running with the Overs and the LB
  3. Got the dates in the diary, will be great to see you at some events.
  4. How about a sprint, 90 degree turn, another sprint ................ cant really call it coursing but still get more distance to each run, could change the direction half way through so dogs dont pre-empt the turn, perhaps...................... cutting the grass will be easy
  5. Tips, proving to be very useful down the field......... Great character too her Nice to see your keepers and compare.

Ive had a Manual Forester non turbo now for a while, gets through the fields and horse mud no trouble at all, got a low gear shift, when it was snowing and the roads were icy it was the car we used and we were never stuck in, Shhhhh dont tell the boss............ Parts, not had to worry bout that yet but like any car a bit of surfing the world wide web and you will find something, bought a tow bar for mine on Ebay from a scrappy, worked out about £60 although did replace the electrics even though the ones on it worked, couple of quid they was. (100 meters for adults, 50 meters for pups & newbies) 1 group race (optional, all dogs must wear muzzles) Weight pull simultaneously running with the vertical scale. 11. We have to be very careful with her when we are down the field, so much there for her to get into trouble with, she stays on the lead down there just to be sure! love walking her through the woods next to the field and see her so very focused, we have permission there and all round for some distance so its only a matter of time for her, when she is ready. She is growing steadily, is pretty social with other dogs depending on their dominance as she likes a steady dog and wont entertain submissive animals and she is clean and quiet, we are really happy with her, im pleased your happy with
  12. Hold on let me just get that pic......... lol
  13. Totally aware this isnt the sort of forum that just likes to look at pics and comment on a nice looking dog or a pretty puppy, but for me this is a nice medium for people who are interested in keeping tabs on this little girl, I have a thick skin and im aware many think what we do with our dogs is tosh and nonsense, their opinion, at the mo Tips is playing and having fun, she runs down the field and very much enjoys a very varied life outdoors doing what our Staffords do, come next year she will come out with us, sometimes with the guns and sometimes without, who knows how good she will turn o
  14. That first pics a cracker!
  15. She has just turned 5 months old and we are enjoying her funny ways very much, nowhere near as tolerant as the Staffords but will do anything if she thinks she will get something out of it, clever little girl and keeping my 12 year old out of trouble too at the mo, all good!!! Last weekend when I was out my 12 year old decided to have a private photoshoot on our bed Still very good pics......... We took Tips to visit friends who have some Borders, she slept all day the next day. She is a pretty good guard dog too. A pic of her at one of her first

  18. Allot of really great advice. Just viewing the free advert sites will give you some idea of how many dogs are out there, your girls just a baby, plenty of time and thought to come before you consider breeding.
  19. Thank you John, the weather wasnt great but nowhere near as bad as they said it was going to be, have got pics and I shall put them up as soon as I have edited them. But till then take a look at the pics from last month. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=124140 Our first ACES day next year will be 7th Feb.
  20. Saturday will go ahead sun, rain or snow, we have been extremely lucky all year and had fantastic weather for all our days, so fingers crossed, pics and results will follow shortly after the event.
  21. exactly same place as my terrier's shes a patterdale bull x, vet said it was ringworm and prescribed a anti-fungal cream, hope it clears it up!! does Ripleys clear up or is it permanent? Comes and goes with no treatment, but go with what the vet said as cant hurt. Also a common one is half way down the tail, see it again here. Edited to add a pic to show it goes on its on the Stafford penny spot, lol
  22. Could be Stafford penny.......... I know other terriers suffer also, if it is it comes and goes. Can kinda see Ripleys one here.
  23. Now Aaron with a little modification they would be perfect for all weight pull including the ones where you can get titles. ACES days weight pull is pretty relaxed as most weight pull days are, as long as the dog has a harness then nowt else matters, can be a walking harness for all we care (what Rhea pulled her most weight on!) in fact at the Ed Reid days you dont even have to pull on a harness, collars are fine, but if you do plan to try and get a UPF title then they do have to be very specific with the make up of the harness, spreader at the back, certain distance from the dogs back, b
