It is good fun, we dont do showing at the ACES days as a rule, the only day we do showing is the charity day in the summer where all money raised goes to SBT rescue, the April meeting we will be doing 100 meter electronically timed runs, Weight pull and A-Frame, no concessions im afraid if you only want to do running but we will try and get you in some longer runs if you wish and your not bothered about them being timed, just be sure to let us know. So turn up and see if ya fancy giving it a go, its a great day, good laughs, lovely food and lighter evenings now so not so much stress in fi

  10. I know peoples opinions differ as to the rights of what dogs should go into the ring, I personally decided to put my pup in the adult Lakeland class (she couldnt go into the pup class as she is docked) and the working class both I knew she would not place well in because she is a pup and has done next to nothing, but it put a quid in the pocket of the organisers and I was happy with that.

  16. ACES attend many of the Lurcher World and Coursing Crew events, the ones that are within a reasonable distance, we ran and showed the Staffords at the Midlands game fair (the year it was all turned around on its head) its all about organisation and getting the dogs there, we have bull breed classes because we can turn up with enough dogs to warrant it and when we dont we shove em in the terrier groups, they rarely do place in the working dog classes but we get out and we have a laugh. Some of us at Detling March last year At Romsey Running em with Paddy at Midlands At Ong

We would like people with 4 x 4s and cars that are ok on wet grass to park in the main field, turn left as you come in and through the gate at the bottom of the field everybody else can park up the top, turn right and go past the house, we have laid some hard standing at the top too so please park sensibly and all should fit in without blocking in other cars.
