A few things you can do in the back yard. Make up a flirt, its real easy, length of bamboo with some sort of fluffy thing on the end to chase, get em going back and forth round and around, over an a frame if ya fancy it, again pretty easy to make, did my own so its gotta be easy!! You can soon switch em on and off with a set up like this.... Baby Ripley All grown up There is a flyball team in Essex that use Staffords! seen em at Paws in the park. -

Do you think 48hrs will dry up milk ? I am already holding back on her food in the hope she will not have enough reserves to produce milk, is that your theary Yes it has worked many times for many different people, give it a go..... I have posted video of my girl 9 weeks after having pups, 4 weeks after pups are totally off her, not an ounce of milk still there and starting to go back nicely. Reduce but do not withhold water too, this is hard if your used to feeding a dog every day or even twice a day for the big breeds, I have known it work many times, give it a go, certainly cant do

breeding bullmastiff
ghostlyease replied to andyfoster10's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I have learnt many things from many people over the last 4 years and yes if I bred her again I certainly would! We learn and we move on, well most of us do anyway, hopefully the chap asking here will do the same and move forward on a learning curve. -
breeding bullmastiff

Id recommend you wait for more than one reason, firstly Bull mastiffs are slow maturer's and she is not old enough yet, imo, secondly your talking about a dog and they have seasons! spend some time learning about all things dog as well as getting all the required tests done on the bitch you plan to breed, then spend some time finding the stud dog that has also had all the tests and compliments your bitch. -

The proof is the science, in KC Staffords we are lucky to be able to test against some problems, the AHT (animal health trust) with donations and the help of the KC have developed tests for HC and L2 HGA, this means at a cost we can test breeding stock to make sure future generations do not suffer from these conditions. When people breed blindly people do not know if they are breeding carrier to carrier, carrier to clear, clear to clear, affected may only show itself after a certain age! recessives genes are difficult to predict unless tested against or the lines of the dog and bitch are

A.C.E.S (Athletic Canine Enthusiast Society) We are holding an ACES field day on Sat Feb 2nd. Location is 15 mins drive from Gatwick airport, we will be doing some lure racing, long jump and Aframe, we may have a few other surprises there too. £5 per dog, each dog gets 4 100 meter runs and is timed over that distance, pups and inexperienced welcomed, plenty of people there to help you get your dog going, needless to say the experienced dog is more than welcome too. Pups 6 months and under are free but will only do 50 meters. Pics and results from the last day we ran in a

Not as very good pic im afraid it was over 200 meters away with telephone lines in the way... Is this a Kestrel? it was on the road eating something and flew up on to the chimney when I drove around the corner, nipped in to get the camera, though it would be gone.
