Ive just got a Nikon D50, got the standard lens and a 55 - 200, after doing some research it would seem that some photographers prefer to take pics in colour and turn them black and white or sepia with a computer programme, something to do with contrast effects... Im very, very new at this, only had my lenses a few days, but do the research I suppose, these cameras are lots of money, lol... The first pic I took with mine..... Not quite wildlife.

ghostlyease replied to ghostlyease's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
I know the weather has been bad but this day is still on, we have a large gazebo and we may even put a heater in it!!!! Tea, cold drinks, soup, hot chocolate and coffee, free all day... Joanna Mason can no longer make it due to other commitments but we will all be there!!!! Come have a laugh and please remember that the days are not breed specific, any breed of dog welcome! -
A well established Stafford lady died a few months ago and her son has just started putting some of her books on Ebay, not sure how good any of the books would be to you or anybody else but they may be of some interest.. Terrier & Stafford books, I know he has more stuff to put up too. Click here

I have used this, would use a slight dusting on pups food, bitches that are feeding pups and if a dogs condition is a bit lacking, mind you saying that I did not use it for the pups that have just left but I fed raw as well as their usual kibble. I thought I had a pot here to see what was in it but I dont, sorry.

Feeding rabbit/chicken carcasses?
ghostlyease replied to a topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I suppose the thing to remember is that a good balance is important, too much is as harmful as too little, I dont worry too much about veg and fruit as the dogs get a good quality complete kibble every other day but mine have the fruit and veg straight from the fridge just as they are on the turn, skins and all (apart from oranges) saves throwing them away! mine also get table scraps if any are over, doesnt do them any harm if their main diet is spot on.... No overweight dogs in this house.... -
Round this way its £19 for the first and then £15 for the second, £15 for boosters... Cheap for Outer London and the vets are great there.

Thank you Kay, they are not mine, we have been very lucky, we made friends with one of the professional photographers at Paws in the Park this year, we also have Wally who is naturally talented when it comes to picture taking, unfortunately I am the photographer for the charity event, mind you even I can have my moments, lol... Not quite as professional but not bad for a camera that cost under £100 It would be really great to see some other breeds at these events, we have Staffords running the 100 meters in just over 8 seconds, the running dogs beat the socks off of th -

It may be a mammary tumour, had a bitch once that had hers operated on, I left hers too long mind, young stupid and willing it to clear up didnt work. Op went fine, but because it had been left to get to the size of a golf ball the tumour could have grown back, it didnt but lesson learned for me! they seem to develop because of hormone changes in the body of bitches, they present less in spayed bitches, so says the vet that is selling the op............. -

Feeding rabbit/chicken carcasses?
ghostlyease replied to a topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Pups at 3 weeks old Starting on carcasses from the butcher Did them well throughout the time they was with me. I get a mixture of bones from the butcher but mainly chicken carcasses and wings, I feed alternate days one day kibble one day raw bones, I always watch them with their bones as they tend to eat them too quickly and have been known to not chew carcasses!!!! They are wormed regularly. I have no experience of feeding my own dogs rabbit but have seen dogs eat them fur and all with little trouble. Unfortunately when it comes to pesticides, chemicals and added e -

Doesnt he look angelic Playing with Aunty Rhea And out with mum and big Bro PM me for more details about this fella, KC reg, L2 HGA & HC clear by birth.

So im not looking for anything over £150 Its gotta be reasonably light & suitable for a girlie (me) I dont really want a gun that uses gas I would like something that the kids (10 and 13) could use if they so wished once in a while Dont need anything too powerful, will only be out after rabbits rats and small game... I have 2 males for sale from a litter of 8, no big claims or promises, this breeding has been done before and created Ripley. The pups are KC registered, genetically clear of L2HGA and HC and are raised in an extremely robust and attentive environment, pups are wormed at 2 weeks, 4 weeks and just before they leave. I am putting them up here as id rather have the pups go to people that understand the breed, if you want a dog that can run all day and love doing so then you wont go far wrong with one of these pups. Please contact me for any extra info or pics, happy to oblige.
