  1. I've had the famous 5 a good few times now and a couple of them times 3 species of deer. Do you think it would be possible to have the famous 5 that including all 6 species of deer in 1 nights? Now that would be a near on impossible task lol
  2. I struggle to believe that there is a place in the wild holding Chinese water deer, muntjac, sika, roe, fallow and red all on the same land. I know the 6 species share a county but deffo not a certain place?? Well, it's a struggle you'll have to live with buddy...... :victory: I'm not going to lie about such things. Good Hunting, J Darcy. Fair enough pal, not calling you a lair just expressing that I struggle to believe it lol in what mile radius would you say these 6 species are too each other then?

  4. Up until lthe beginning of last season I'd always foot lamped, had some cracking nights and some fairly shit nights. Then met a fella that drives the land, after a season with him and staring off this season with my own 4x4 I don't think I could ever go back to full time foot lamping. Don't get me wrong the odd night out on foot no problem but I only see more pros then cons for driving the land. What's yous lots opinion on it? Yay or nay?
  5. Lol turbo timmy! Size of a terrier but I've seen it catch big rabbits and hit other things first!!
  6. They tried taking my dogs in Basingstoke area once but we struck a deal, I'm never to enter Hampshire again with a dog.
  7. It's the truth wether you believe it or not lol and the biggens was on the lamp just to clarify.
  8. A mate of mine had a litter of parson x saluki greys (accidental). I know that's not jack Russell whippet but a few out of this litter made handy dogs, they loved the red things and mopped rabbits up for fun. Believe it or not they didn't do half bad on the big rabbits either. But I wouldn't purposely go out and buy a dog of this breeding, or similar.
  9. What other info would you want lol? Owners address? What food he's fed? His favourite chew toy? How many he's killed since he was started? Strange question pal.
  10. Don't think you can get a healthier looking litter of pups, credit to you REW.

  14. Took my bitch and the dog I will use over her after this season for a steady 5 miles. Couple weeks to go yet until I'll be happy to show them a nights graft. Should hopefully get myself a pup out of these 2 next summer! Ps pics aren't the best lol
  15. A breed I'd one day like to own, wether it be first x, 3/5 5/8 or 1/4 3/4 etc etc. Any of you lads own or seen any work and have any pics?? Atb

  17. Awesome bitch I seen her take the lot
  18. I thought the same Half x to half x, something I wouldn't mind in the future! Yeh or even just a big racey coursing dog over a half cross wheaten grey bitch. Sounds a handy type. Bet it would be a handful around the 10 month mark. Terrier and saluki combo. Lol Yeah that sounds a lot better to be fair. Craziness of the wheaten numbness of the saluki. Interesting pup to rear! Lol

  20. I know your pain mate. Watching a working dog (which you have bonded with) look at a myxi rabbit and watch it hop away is soul destroying. But I reckon 90% of them will come good given time and patience. Too many get sacked off too soon. Not saying they will all make world beaters. But you don't need a world beater to fill a freezer. Spot on mate
  21. My eldest bitch, f****d around a fair few times up until around 14 months. Like gaz said plenty told me to get rid but I had a strong bond with her and hoped and prayed she come good, and she did. She would only pick up rabbits if they was flat out going for it! She wouldn't touch squatters, slower rabbits or even mixies that could barely walk lol Edited to say doesn't sound too bad right? But a rabbits a rabbit at the end of the day and I wanted them all in the bag, specially the easy ones.
  22. Saluki grey x wheaten grey, sounds a very handy mix to me!
