You have to keep moving your style with age. There's nothing worse than seeing 50+ year olds dressed like their teenage kids! I do like a pair of brogues.......

I've always found it fascinating how certain nationalities can be identified through their sense of style & typical clothes. The Italians with their puffa jackets & shades, the polish with their hideous jeans, brit lads bowling about like mini Liam Gallahgers Yanks are normally easily picked out as well...... I have to say though with absolute bias that the british music scene/working class sense of style is cooler than most.......

There's an English lad here I've been out on the piss with. He cuts hair for Tony & Guy......he's got a Louis Vuitton hold all with that logo all over it. He weren't too impressed with my opinion!
  4. It's like this mate. It's their fence. I have my garden split in three. In the middle section I have my dog tethered to a 20m running line. He is secure throughout the day. During the day I take him lose down the last bit which borders the goat paddock. It's on a slope, so I throw a ball for him to retrieve back up the slope for fitness. I got talking to the neighbour over the fence & took my mind off him & he got under. Unsupervised he would not of had the chance, but I can't risk it again. There's a couple spots I'll look at, but I'm not spending money on their fence. I'd rather

The price tag is for the name But would you have worn the exact same trainers with the little word 'Clarks' on the tongue?
  6. It happened because I had him loose bird, which was regular. The fence is pretty good, but a couple of places he could scramble under. I just can't take that risk again & I like him loose when I'm about, which is every day & if he got loose when I'm not about it would be carnage. So I'll try the collar now.

I admire your honesty. I've actually got a pair of Clarks They have lasted years & are still about & are cool as fcuk I always buy on appearance & quality first, no matter how much cash I have in my pocket.....

I read up about it & the old stuff was suppose to be really great. Still sought after apparently. There was a jacket I really wanted, but after my experience with a mid-priced product I thought better of it. Which is a shame, because they do a great looking range of outdoor jackets. I suppose it's luck as well, but if you're paying €500 plus, you don't want to be relying on luck!

Fjallraven failed on me after a few months. All out sourced now mate Got all my money back. They look & feel great, but zips & buttons going after normal use is terrible. I've got jackets that cost less than than half that price with zippers & buttons still fine after over 15 years....

I'm with you on Gucci. It grates. Much like Armani, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein etc etc The more I've looked into quality, the more names like that become meaningless badges. This came to a head when a mate of mine turned up at my house with a little jacket that cost over a thousand quid. Even the best outdoor stuff made to match any weather doesn't cost that much & It weren't even that great! I wouldn't of worn it........

Obviously you're thrilled, like you should be, but believe me, unless it's practical, most things are a waste of money until 3-4 years.....then the real fun starts

I wouldn't worry about that for now. The first three Christmases they haven't got a fcuking clue what's going on. So I'd crack on with the Gucci's if I was you.......
  18. Well it was a genuine question, despite the piss take tone of my last post, which was more directed at the sceptics.....I'm still very much in the open-minded camp
  19. Yeah I know I'm already fighting a losing battle that hasn't already begun yet? I guess I'm just hoping they we will be as belligerent as I was about gaming & all that shite & just be happy strumming a guitar.....

Oh my god!!! actually there not bad. I'd wear them.
  22. They were part of growing up when I was a kid mate. We were the first generation to start. I thought they were mind numbing garbage at the age of 14 just like I do now. The amount of grown men I've worked with talking about all night sessions on Call of Duty etc etc is fcuking unreal. I'm fcuking dreading it, that & social media. What a shit scene it is for kids now. iPads & iPhone at 5 years old? It's fcuking horrible

Turned into an interesting thread this, rather than just my ramblings. I like clothes a lot & it's interesting to hear some people likes & attitudes towards them. My weakness has always been Jackets/Coats. I could buy them weekly if I had the money, though I still manage to buy one or two a year without fail & my wife still thinks that's a bit much. Im not a lover of labels for names sake. I can happily wear vintage or high end gear, but often find labels & logos tacky. I don't want to look like an off-duty estate agent when I'm out & about. If I bought Stone Isl
