Well I ant getting that excited! I think a huge win for democracy would have been to have some good honest candidates to vote for, instead those just with establishment or corporate backing.

I've watched it a few times now & in all honesty it's the best observation on the Trump win I've ever heard. It's satire, but only just. Laughing don't even come into it, it's just an extreamly accurate & honest observation. Everyone should watch it, especially those that are firmly on the left. Infact I'm going to send it to brother now...

I agree it's not what you want to hear, but can he do his job? Is there a victim? I disagree. Its unrealistic & naive to expect this before we vote. But whatever way you want to look at it, he is right that you can't lump consensual acts in with allegations of abuse, however indecent we may find them.

You toughen up quick on the hod. I often enjoyed it in a perverse kind of way, especially when a gang was trying to break you! I've seen at least 2 hod carriers reduced to sobbing their eyes out & dozens of new starts walk off site before first break... I saw that experience as invaluable, because whatever jobs I had after hod carrying I knew no matter how bad they got, it could always be worse!

I'm only taking the piss. Of course it's bollocks because obviously mixed race families are a tiny minority so it's gone the other way into disproportionate representation. I don't see them on my TV, but that's modern media for you. It won't change, you either don't let it bother you or switch off. It pisses me off more that they start pushing Christmas at the end October!

It was a great World Cup. I was hod carrying on the new road through leytonstone at the time. I would get the last of the muck out & literally abscond over the wall & leg it got back to the tuffnel park tavern to watch a game

That's exactly what I'm putting across. I'm not trying to say the majority of Muslims will be at it, because obviously they won't be....but those that are integrated & value how their kids feel at this time of year might & do give out presents. like you say for most of us it's not a Christian celebration, but just gifts, food & drink.....plus a holiday
