  1. I think it's a must for any starting terrier man, personally
  2. Put this seasons prospects up lads, here's mine
  3. What's that? I'll take the little'uns if there's an event
  4. Anyone who remembers my threads can attest to the difference mine had after a while with me Feed them plenty, I personally prefer fat pups but if they're adults then 3% of their body weight is a good place to start Worm and de flea them. If they're recovering then they need to be firing on all cylinders Plenty of time out and about around the home and with you, even just cuddled on the sofa. On top of the usual training routine too
  5. Looks don't kill but that's a nice terrier
  6. I've got a pop up gazebo at the yard if you want to borrow it Lee - market stall size with sides I don't really need it until the winter anyway I've also got feather flag stands too
  7. I know nothing of 'terrier history' but I do know that Keith was also called Kilo
  8. Lovely looking things, Stonewall If my big black dog carries in he way she looks like she may then her offspring will look a lot like the far left in the first pic - very similar head shape and carriage
  9. I'd personally pay for an older one and buy a pup in too. Nothing like a dog to bring another dog on
  10. I use an old memory foam pillow. After a while they lose their shape a little so I get new ones, and the dogs get my old ones. Keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer
  11. No idea what you're trying to say here pal. Spell it out for us dullards
  12. The breeder didn't tell me that - the owner of some from the litter did I've also had it confirmed by someone outside who'd know Either way, it might not matter a dot as she's 6kg
  13. Doubt it The breeder of my pup had an interesting theory about this - don't let your pups go local otherwise your stock could end up killing your permo and/or sport
  14. If someone approaches me aggressively with a balaclava on then they're gonna get exactly exactly the reaction they're wanting Post the plate DC - Being in the work I'm in I have a few tools at my disposal and may be able to find out the odd thing or two about them
  15. I feed mine all their meat frozen. 1kg blocks of pet mince from the butcher or cheap frozen chicken pieces mine get. Still haven't found a supplier cheap enough to change from that tbh
  16. Depends what you want. Serious schutzhund work then a Dutch herder Looking the part and no training then a boerboel Alerting you and yapping then a collie Livestock guardian then a Greek shepherd or something similar Also like the look of those Serbian Defense Dogs Like lurchers though it's a dog for a job
  17. to really test if the dog is the real thing take him away from his yard have seen this done a few times.take him too a place he has never been before.stake him out on a long chain for about 40 mins on his own.get somebody too come back and start too put pressure on the dog from distance and work ur way up too the dog all the time increasing pressure.if he is still hopping off the chain to get to u within 5ft in my opnion hes the real deal.ive seen too many curl up at this stage. But if he's only gotta guard his own yard then what's the point?
  18. I was looking after my friends bull pup for a few weeks. Lovely, lovely dog and he turned out to be plenty protective enough Had a real loud fella come to ask about tarmaccing my ramp at my work. He was running around all fine but once the guy was loud AND stamping the hardcore back into the ramp the pup took it as a threat and howled like only bulls do and went for him. Called him off and he was perfectly behaved again
  19. do you mean bulldog =apbt or a abd , either a gsd will had some guarding instinct to it , a pits norm friendly with people . Mind you my 1x gsd x grey Buck , he full on to his quarry , if he was the same to a person , he would deff wreak them, you got 85lb muscle and bone with powerful jaw clamping down on you .But he bloody strange dog he loves all people and good with other dogs, he must have picked up the greys temp, as he very sensitive and wimpy he like old Bryn both get up set easy, there nothing like my old bullxs they were chilled around the yard , and not sensitive lik
  20. A good collie is enough if you are enough. Plus they'll bite too
  21. Everyone can have it - they're called Holts and prices seem reasonable but not silly cheap
