Yes Kris still got one for you . couldnt get a tick off the rabbits as mine are all frozen for a month or so to kill all the worms and things . I was wondering if it could have been in the bedding i bought from a pet shop . Had ticks before but its always a day or two after they have been worked and they been taken care of straight away and frontlined .

I was checking my kits over tonight and i found a tick on one of them , where it came from i dont understand . the mother had not left the cage for about 1 month before i bred her , the cage was disenfected and all new bedding put in the week before the kits were born . so where do you think it came from . anyway apart from that the kits are doing ok very slow to leave the nest box , 4 weeks old and only now crawling out . ive had kits crawling out at 2-3 weeks before to eat meat or bite it anyway . but only 3 of them so they are big strong healthy kits the one with a tick lovely

plummer1 what stops the ferrets climbing out the top
-
i keep 4 jills in a cage 4ft x 18" which is a similar size to one of your sections , and they are fine . so in theory you could keep about 12 ,but with 3 interconnected hutches the ferrets would all end up sleeping in the same bed and crapping in the same corner , it would be a hell of a mess in no time ,. split the cage into 3 sections and you could manage 9 or 10 at a push ,keep it as 1 big cage and you might get away with 6 or so . This is just my opinion someone will have another opinion on the matter .

I once lost a jill through a top openeing cage, i was showing someone the kits which were ready to leave the mother , and as i closed the lid she jumped up over the bedding divider . i didnt hear her make a sound and when i went back to check later she was squashed over the diveder , broke my heart the thought that i had left her like that for a couple of hours , cost me a fortune in vets bills but she died the next day best little jill i ever had .

Hang on a minute this is my fault ,I lent Adam a copy of purdeys progress and on that Dave Sleight says to get a pup retrieving sit near his bed and throw a rolled up pair of socks ,the pup will pick them up and return to his bed you intercept him and that is the start of retrieving , he says to do this as soon as you get the pup 6 - 8 weeks . and i dont think hes training the pup to jump . The jumping thing i think Adam is worried that the dogs are trying to jump out of their pen which is about 14" high but when the pups are piled up in one corner there are some using the others to get over

Only a fiver near me aswell . but apparently there is a shortage at the moment due to the lack of building work going on and the horse shop i get it from is trying to charge £9 for really rough splintery stuff ,which i dont like using .

Kay do you use all them toolbars if not they are just cluttering up your comp and slowing it down . popey download easy thumbnails to your computer from here http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ let it run and then open the programme in the settings tab set them to 400 width and 300 height now in the files tab browse to where the pics are on your computer select the pics you want and click the make button . this will make a smaller pic that uploads easily to THL it usually goes to a folder on the desktop called TN . now to upload them when writing a new post on THL at the bottom o

I got 5m lengths of it rolled up and tapped together that goes up and down in my court more like a real burrow system .
-
I got my weld mesh from a steel supplier in neath , cost a fair bit but it will last for ages . If you can allready get small pieces just build a wooden frame and section that off into smaller squares try and keep them all the same though or it will look out of place and messy .
