  1. Totally agree,i find all these Fury family groupies almost comical i was talking to a couple of travelling boys the other day some of the words they were using to describe these lads was absurd like a few people on here use.......im sure they think that because they have only been around boxing 5 minutes that everyone else has as well and we are all as naive as they are.......since when has a fighter been described as a " warrior " because he gets decked by journeymen but gets up again !!.......When a potential heavyweight champion of the world gets chinned by mediocre opposition and gets up t

    Gwp

That is my GWP (Rab ) just turned 1 year old ....Its the first time I have owned and trained this type of hound and has been very frustrating at times but what I have learned is to let them be pups with just basic training and not to over complicate things to early ....but now he has matured he is a joy to train and is just soaking up all the training I am doing with him and has become a real joy to own . He is a stunning looking animal with some bone on him and looks great watching him hunt and quater in cover .... Anyone else got any experiance with this breed that have any tips or advice.
  7. i was speaking to some lads about this while fishing last week my first dog was alb collie cross and was as good a gundog as ive seen ....I remember when I was a keeper at 18 we had one of the queens lab trainers with us picking up in the line on a walked up day at the grouse and he said to me at the end of the day that is a very special dog you have there ...I remember feeling about 10 ft tall. You wont see lots of lab collie crosses because the gun dog world is very much money orientated
  8. 2 years ago they sent students to do the count and they didnt know the differance between a mallard and a magpie so it was a bit of a waste of time ...this year the count was carried out by the lads that would be put on the cull license we were spread out from the mouth of the river to about 10 miles up stream and the count started at 8 am and we were all in contact with walkie talkies so the count was very accurate and all sightings were geographically documented and at what time . Last season I was fishing and we had one bird to get on the quota I shot a male merganser and when the dog
  9. As for Ty going to war or put in the trench as you put it I must of missed they fights ....Ty has had an easy route to get to the stage he is at knocking on the door to a world title fight with Klitchko but thats maybe to do with the way the heavyweight game is these days
  10. I bet joshua does 10-12-15 rounds sparring regular? name me a pro fighter that doesnt ? and as for how many rounds do i think hughie will go :hmm: do you honestly believe that joshua would beat hughie .Larry Holmes was once slated for going over against Renaldo Snipes .Holmes response ,the sign of a champion when he gets of the canvas to win . it be interesting to see how joshua responds when hes in with some one whos breathing .Bruno a very powerful man once tagged that was him . he was like a man with twenty pints in side him .David Price another impeccable amateur record every one s
  11. Doh !.... I meant how many sawbills are you allowed to cull ?? We carried out a sawbill count in January and sent the results to the SNH and were allowed to cull 29 gooseanders 26 mergansers and 20 cormorants

  13. Why?????????? you could dig to him everyday of the week You and the likers didnt understand the joke. It wasnt a reference to digging dogs. Anyway you can have another 3 days to think about it. Im not a liker ....if you read an earlier post of mine I wasnt excited about this fight as with any other Mayweather fight ....you remind me of Jim Watt a bit

  15. You van kill whatever you want after May the first but I will only take fish that wont go back ie bleeding at the gills or have just fought that hard you know they wont survive ...I will keep the odd sea trout imo one of the best eating fish out there
  16. There has been huge runs of seatrout around the 2-4lb mark and bigger this past few years and I think its down to what we call smolt shepherding for the past 3 years we have kept the sawbills off the water by shooting, flagging and gas guns during the smolt run this has made the birds very nervous so the minute they see someone there off we have just completed last week a sawbill cull through the SNH and shot 29 mergansers 26 goosanders and 20 cormorants now these birds would of taken huge numbers of finnock and smolts and this has surely been the reason for the improved sea trout runs . a
  17. The only thing with the smaller set up is when you are into a big fish ...the fish is defo in control especaially when they get there nose into the harder water and there seem to be alot of big fish 20-30 pound in this season .
  18. This is the North Esk which would be classed as a mid sized river probably the most productive river per rod fished in Scotland ....this is the first beat on the river called Kinnaber I run a syndicate, ghillie and do all the vermin control on it and im good friends with the manger and owner so have access to plenty fishing especially now the beat is up for sale as every fish caught adds around 7k to the value so the more fish the better ....it is a first class fly water . I rarely use the double hander unless the water is up and keep the bigger rod for the bigger waters like the Tay and De
