It depends what you want my sheppard was nuts no man could get through my gate including my mates but he suffered from seperation anxianty and barked at any person walking down the fence line if its a warning any dog that barks would do you need to take into account the new laws there bringing in. The sheppard I had was very protective of the other half and the kids. Or are you wanting a dog to look the part as a deterent if so any large dog would do also there were a spate of dogs being poisiond round my end too get access to a property as they tried with mine but it never took food off anyon

Last year I went to little show at brinsworth wanting to know what date it is this year -
I work horse paddocks a lot but only when the horses are not out. My dog is stock broken and trust him its the horses I don't trust I also ferret stable blocks but the dog is only used for marking as to many fences around. There's nothing worse than spooked live stock I think its putting the dog in unessary danger

I have insurance I pay under £6 a month after my other halfs bitch cost me £500 after hiting a barbed wire fence on easter sunday basicly skined her front leg so I think its worth it my excess isn't that bad at £99
