Ag and pp, did a fine job breeding them between them and credit to Ag for raising them, pups look in great shape..     Sorry, should of worded that better, It was more of a frustrated nip, don't worry, if he actually bit me, it would of been a different matter, but i think this is the salukis make up in certain ways.. He has not done it since, as he went to do it again another time, i just growled and he got the message. Seen coursing dogs bite their owners when watching a course, lot of saluki in their make up as well. Just their way i think at times, they can also be quiet aggressive to other dogs too, especially males.

    Interesting point that db. Young pup i have now, she is 4 month old, nearly full saluki, she does not take well to being held firm round the neck and will take offense!, however, if i growl sharp, she reacts far better and listens. Another time, out with full saluki lamping, he seen a rabbit in the beam, but too far off, i turned the lamp off and he went to bite me to get off, i slipped him, so as not to get too stressed, he ran down the beam and brought the rabbit back out in the field and caught it.... No i am not saying that is the way, just my experience with them so far.

    The way they run, hunt, move around, their agility is unreal, only a wild dog would be the same, they are feral, its the way they are, i like them a lot.

    That's bad, to do that to dogs that have run their heart out for them making money, then throwing them out like rubbish, sickning!! Crying shame!

    It's only his first season lad taking it easy with him,but he running well he ran well up in drogheda with tiger and tommy and knocked a good few over up with jimmy10 I am happy with him You done a good job with him captain, fair play, that's the way to do it, works for me as well, you get out what you put in.

    That's my point, who knows?? Not just talking about the dog you mentioned, as i am not fishing, just talking in general. Who knows what dog was and what dog was clean? Personally, i would never do it, as ag said, your only cheating your self, would not make me proud, that's for sure, plain and simple cheating.

    Totally agree . My question was, how does anyone know, the dogs that won matches ect in the passed, have not been doped up? Not saying all were, but who is to know some did? I guess its hard to know? All to do with trust prehaps?

    In greyhound racing, all greyhounds are tested at random for drugs, if they have any in their system, they are out. Pre-ban and over here in ireland, how would anyone know, if the lurcher about to run in a hare coursing comp/match, is drug free? All the matches ect that were ran, how does anyone know, if these dogs were not pumped full of all sorts, to keep them going ect? Were they tested before a match, or comp?
