    Appreciate the reply, for now I'm taking her on the lead anywhere I think she might take herself hunting, and focusing on more recall training where there's no rabbit activity. I think it's a good thing she's got a strong hunting drive though, at least she has promise I guess!

    Hi, I own an 11 month old JRT. She is well trained in general and just starting to introduce her to working. Trouble is, if she sees a bird or rabbit, she gives chase and won't come back. After the chase, she hunts around rabbit holes until she's had enough or I catch up with her. When I walk her along the beach, or anywhere there is nothing to chase or hunt she is very good, attentive and recalls well. Any suggestions? Cheers, Steve.
